Some great pictures of Botany Les lots of old Botany still there and lots of changes, sad to see Sir Joseph Banks how it was when were were kids and how it is now with the Port Terminals that removed our access to the Bay the way we knew it, with Forshore Drive taking it away from the park but i loved seeing all the old Botany.
The post office is as I remember it. The building I worked in has been demolished for units. Botany and its people will always have a place in my heart. xxxxxx
8:44 The pic of the Mascot Airport, though undated, judging by a couple of Holden taxis on the rank, I figure the era would be around 1963 or 1964. The taxi close to the signpost at left of image, and the taxi at right of image next to the fire hydrant. One's a HD, the other is(I think) a HR.
Thanks for the memories I used to stay at the botany bay hotel.
I worked in Botany from 1967-1995. Great people there.

1:52 Walk into the Bistro at the Botany Bay Hotel, and ask the "Captain" What's Cookin'? (Captain Cook, Get it? Ba-dum-tssss!)
