I think it's totally irrelevant in today's time ; this function was done in those days to tell everyone that there 's a girl in our house who has attained puberty & ready to get married ; in olden days there was no matrimonial site or social media to let the eligible boy's family to know that their daughter's ready to get married !! but now a days , boys & girls have the option to select their partners ; so , these functions r not at all relevant now ; we have to make changes in these rituals according to the changing situation 👍 at the same time ,. these youngsters who say that they don't believe in these rituals , have started following 'sangeeth' , 'bhaarath' , 'mehandi' , etc which r truly north Indian rituals !! do the youngsters have any scientific reasons to follow these rituals & waste so much money for these functions ?? 😂😅
When boys and girls reached the marriage age .. parents can invite relatives and friends and show others my son and daughter ready for marriage.. no need at puberty time
GO and READ scientific explanation behind puberty difference between male and female. It has lots of biological reasons. I was born with 3 sisters and they were well informed of each and every thing before doing because all are educated so share the knowledge. But in a illiterate family they just follow it up. When you come from a saloon after hair cut we do not irrigate water from well someone has to pour on our head at least 5 to 10 buckets of water on head and NOT ONLY that we have to wash all the cloths we wore to the saloon be fore the helper leaves the well site. The same is applied to us when you come from a funeral home. Ok one more thing same applied when we go to a HOSPITAL to see someone in the hospital ward. In some family when a stranger touches you so intimately with his palm or body like hugging kissing as a child etc we got to go home and wash cloths and shower, All these have scientific reasons like today we are wearing masks today in few years from now our descendants will laugh to hear it because at that ttime VIRUS wont be so hard to eradicate.
