It's unreal the number of collectors that still don't understand what "The Vintage Collection" is and consistently cry out "That's not vintage". Do your research people!

I just started collecting about 2 weeks ago but if you don’t mind telling me the difference. I’m assuming when you say “ The Vintage Collection “ does that just refer to the product lines name like “ Star Wars the Vintage Kenner collection “ ? Or is their a way to tell what figures are vintage and what’s not. Bc I myself get confused I always thought when it’s “ Vintage collection “ it just means like the really really dated back figures that look real old.
@@dankchewy2699 In most collecting circles I travel in, and I haven't seen it amongst collectors in any other way, The Vintage Collection, commonly referred to as "TVC" means the modern product line 2010-2021 and beyond, this is the product that pays homage to the original Kenner packaging style and its figures.
The original Kenner product lines from 1978-1986 are commonly referred to as "Vintage" Star Wars.
There's nothing wrong with new collectors getting confused by the two, its usually the older Star Wars fans that get their pants in a twist when the proper distinction isn't made between the two. Sometimes you get the occasional social media seller claiming their modern product is from the 70's and 80's and when they are told no, that is actually a modern product line release they get upset because the value of the item they want to sell isn't the same as a real "vintage" product. The distinction is clear if you compare them side by side, however I could see how the retro collection could easily confuse people.

Thank god for The Clone Wars. Nothing but pure, true, Star Wars fun!!! I grew up on that show since I was 8 years old when the movie for it came out by the same name. Stuck with it until it got cancelled and now here I am, 19 years old and waiting for it's RETURN to FINALLY FINISH what it started all those years ago, WOW!!!! Thanks for bringing most of that nostalgia back!

Wow this came up on my recommended and wow I forgot I had all of these 3.75 figures at one point what a collection of 3.75 I think you should track them down to who you sold them to and get them all back and bury them all in your garden and tell your dog about it then get the dog to tell you dad about them

This is awesome! I grew up with toys like these but I only got a select few. Now that I'm older and buy the newer figures myself I'm always so disappointed by the quality compared to these older Clone Wars stuff (They STILL hold up for me despite having been played with nearly daily for 5 years). I am totally with you as far as S7 Clone Wars figures go. We need Super Articulated figures!

Dude that's a massive and awesome collection!!! Huge Star Wars fan just don't have room for any Star wars stuff!! I love the Kit Fisto with Jedi Starfighter as it is one of my favorite episodes in the Clone Wars TV show where he faces off against General Grievious!! Great Video Josh :)
I still love the vintage collection. I'm still looking for the following figures/vehicles. EU Starkiller, Shae Vizla, Darth Malgus, Hoth Echo Base Trooper, Lumat, Paploo, Prune Face, Nikto, Darth Vader(Emperor's Wrath), Commander Cody, Manga Guard, Cone Trooper(212th Battalion), MilleniumFalcon TRU exclusive, At-At ESB TRU exclusive, Snowspeeder and Tie Fighter Target Ex, Scout Walker and B-Wing Fighter Kmart Ex, At-AP, Tie Intercepter and Slave 1 Amazon Ex. I will just keep looking and compare prices. Some are outrageous.
I almost collected these when they dropped...but never did. I’m not making that mistake again! I’ve gotten everything in ALL toy lines since 2013...except for lots of SDCC stuff, and the combiner wars, Marvel, most POP, most LEGO and about half of amibo
My favorite action figure line since collecting in 2013..... FORTNITE! the 4 & 6” lines. They r fn Awesome!
I don’t collect the 7” McFarlane tho...just can’t see having 3 sets of same...Which is why I don’t collect 3rd party transformers. ( tho sum r fire , n it’s good to have options for non completists collectors- which is not me; I don’t leave things half done.

I have all my Black series and vintage collection in retro cases- thanks to one of JP’s early videos from back in the day. Best investment. Figures look great in them and even though they are thin, they protect the card quite well.

Mine r only carded until I retire, then I’m making my own dioramas on my 3-D printer. Already made most of the robots from the inside of sand crawler, images in - New Hope Not too bad either! Just wish I could make bigger things!? Instead of jury rigging pieces together.
I am in the middle of making the empire SB conveyor belt where c3po got dissected. Having trouble with rollers on belt...want to get a electronic belt, but I’m not good with electronic engineering ( would be a good career to help pay for my collecting addiction! Lol
Btw...I collect ALL video games on ALL platforms! I have almost everything not PS4/xb1 ( no PC stuff except random exc. editions)....I have the highest points total at local GameStop! Lol
When new consoles or $300 collectors Ed Games drop...I just slice a chunk off my account. Tho I lost my main job, so now I’m down to 1/3 of my collecting - so no more he man, SDCC, new sets, most Neca, etc

Do you have any tips for getting into the vintage style figures? I’m not too concerned about the true vintage stuff just yet but I would like to get into the reissues. If you know a good resource to keep up with releases and stuff like that it would be awesome

Some of the original figures were made at paltoy leic uk I used to buy them from Geoff toys in coalville leic uk were pal toy was based I now collect vinyl rwcord but it's nice whatever you collect this is a great collection

The one thing I would say though is, You did a video where you were on a hunt with one of your friends and you pulled out a Clone Wars Jabba the Hutt Battle-pack at a really good price, If you haven't picked him up yet you really should he's mega rare. Hello Josh! those are awesome collection! You did invest a lot on Star Wars merch...but I would have to say that you may have to wait for at least 10 years or so for the carded and in mint condition figures to be sold in a price that may or may not shoot up or in nothingness as it depends on the toys rarity and grade. You may have to be careful in using the word "VINTAGE"...coz' sad to say you don't have one in your collection. Sorry Josh...you may have to consult or look for the toy hunter Jordan Hembrough....for some advise on the really legit vintage star wars toys. Anyway it was fun watching your videos...God bless.

huge! awesome collection, lots of nice exclusives. I wish they would make a lot of these figs in 6" scale that would be great. Do you have a Cad Bane? That dude was one of my favorite characters from the Clone Wars. There are so many figs to keep track of maybe try to make an excel spreadsheet to track them. Hard to pick a favorite fig, that 4 pack of troops is sweet, I like all the vintage ships too.

Phenomenal collection my friend! My favorite is definitely the Jar Jar in Carbonite, I've never been able to get that one. I think I have all the single carded Clone Wars figures. There was actually a release of them before the white carded versions, they were white as well with a clone trooper on top of the card. I LOOOOVE the vintage collection, that is a set I would love to complete someday. I found most of them but you have a handful I missed out on. I didn't collect the multipack sets which is a bummer because there are some awesome ones in those. I will have to do some carded Star Wars collection vids soon, awesome video!

Favorite VC figure is hard say. But top 10 would be: EP 3 Anakin (Darth Vader variant), EP 1 Obi, along with their clone wars counterparts, Starkiller, EP 4 Vader, EP 5 Bespin Luke, and every ROTJ Luke, especially (lightsaber construction) having the best card back out the 3. Can’t forget that Ashoka card back though. What’s your favorite/favorites? You never mentioned in the video.
