  • The Apopka International Orchid Festival 2024 is going on this weekend, and we head over to check it out. As always, we find beautiful orchid flowers. We meet subscribers and have the pleasure to have Robert, a loyal subscriber been in our video. We converse with head grower Jordan here at Krull Smith about a very important subject, pollination in particular, a seed pod they are croosing. We are still looking for a particular Paph species and the Laelia undulata alba, we saw at the Palmer Orchids booth at the Sarasota Orchid Show earlier. We are also in search of an Encyclia brevifolia, a species native to Cuba and the Laelia digbyana we love so much. Will we find them?

      😂😂😂 we love comments. We love getting information for all of us. We are going to have a video from that segment of this video. We did it with the Tamiami video. We'll have just a video of when Serena from Lady Vanda talks about vanda care. Thanks for your interest and support.

    Sergio; When you find your digbyana Buy the *LARGEST* plant you can afford (they're slow growers) so don't expect to buy one for $25 :) Krull-Smith has so many Bargains in their showroom.. I was flabbergasted by Cattley's in Bloom for $25 !!

    Omg wow! The display is so mature, and the cattleyas are so fluffy and gorgeus, and I cannot imagine the fragrance of them! I’m so jealous of the sunny weather there, with our below 10c° temperature is😅, and Vickys’, and Sergios’ outfit is so cute😍! I believe that at 19:42 is a Rynchostylis Gigantea🤔? Also, just a quick question, Have you guys ever gotten into aroids, or other tropical plants?

    • @vickyslikes
      @vickyslikes  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your beautiful comments. It was beautiful weather, cold but beautiful. We have not gotten into aroids. I think the orchids are enough, and a few bonsai trees and a couple of Hoya plants.

    I have 4 different rhyncostylist giagantia ( ooh there goes the spelling of these poor plants ,im crucifying the poor names) my point is ,mine doesn't look so beautiful as the ones there in floridd. They grow snd flower but not like those. Need tips 🙏 pls😊

    • @vickyslikes
      @vickyslikes  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, so the ones in our collection also do poor. Since they are in the vandessius family, they could be grown as a vanda. But, also in sphagnum moss and a basket.
