This got me through long hours doing Uber during the winter, seeing the snow fall with neon lit signs in my downtown area. The customers falling asleep, or looking out the window with this in the background, I was hoping for one of them to monolog like they're a detective in the 1950s lol. I sometimes miss that time in my life but it's for the best I move on.
There is a beautiful sense of loneliness about this music. And also a hint at the melancholy irony of life. And yet at the same time it is very very soothing. It is a very important reminder of what a friend music can be and how it can meet you where you are at. Thank you very much for putting this on U tube.

This is exactly the soundtrack to daily melancholy, enriched with a little life irony and the feeling of a certain insight into the very mechanisms that make up life. And yet it radiates so much positivity that, despite all the melancholy, you just keep going. Look out of the window of your favorite café, watch the people and just carry on... This is the bitter-sweet soundtrack to it. How lively and at the same time refreshingly sober you feel while listening to it.

In the cold light of what passed for dawn in the Docks, I reflected on the night’s revelations. This city, with its endless layers, could suffocate you with its secrets. But like the rain that finally began to fall, washing the grime into the gutters, there was a cleansing coming. I could feel it in the bones I didn’t know I had. And I’d be ready-after all, here, even the darkest shadows couldn’t hide from the light forever. Not on my watch.
Three drinks in, and I could feel the music working its way into my bones, loosening the knots of a long day spent chasing leads that led nowhere. The piano keys hit like a punch to the gut, each note a reminder that the city never sleeps, and neither does the trouble lurking in its alleys. The drummer kept time like a relentless clock ticking down to midnight, each beat echoing the cold, hard truth that time’s never on your side in this line of work.
To all of you here that i'll never get a chance meet, live your lives to the fullest and dont waste a second, it is all so fleeting. Perhaps in the next life our paths shall cross. Good luck to all of you good people

And a nice rich, dark cigar. Take a long draw, puf it out slowly. Take a sip of whiskey. Wash that fiery liquid down. Feel it warm your throat. Lean back and close your eyes. Take another puff on the stogie.

Funny thing about bars. Some drink for a night to remember, a road of pastel streamers coated in laughter. Others? Others drink to forget, their grey malaise flowing down into the cool oblivion of another pint of the bartenders finest. The real question my dear... is what brought you to a place like this?
The spark of her lighter flickered like a firefly in the night. Briefly illuminating the darkness complimented by the aroma of whiskey. It was like a beacon of hope albeit ending in an instant.

It's the ideal length for an 8hr workshift.
The measured beat of my footsteps echoed in the underpass, in time with the legato rhythm of the rain. Thoughts of her drifted through my mind as they wafted along, with the exhaled smoke from my cigarette, into the darkness of the shadowed night . . . . .
As I eat my simple hamburger no cheese sandwich, I think to myself listening to this music
"mood"
Damnnnnnnnnn! This is… solid.
This is fabulous, thank you for uploading.
This music lifted me up.
easy background music for a rainy day inside, makes me feel right at home.

2am. The city. And her.
Has the same resolution of my old '72 RCA tv... I need a drink.
This music reaches the parts of my body other music cannot reach....
Like which parts?
@@williamgass9242If it was a guy who wrote this, then I doubt you'd want to know, lol.

There I parts I only reach in my dreams!....When I wake up my fingers are....never mind!
Funny thing about bars. Some drink for a night to remember, a road of pastel streamers coated in laughter. Others? Others drink to forget, their grey malaise flowing down into the cool oblivion of another pint of the bartenders finest.

She replies.. "Nuthin mah dear, juss wanna get wasted"
I have found my supreme relax after work music. This is excellent.
Thank you very much for putting this together. It's therapeutic. I appreciate it.
Lovely. Recurrring themes herein alluding to "Round Midnight" by Thelonius Monk, which is most welcome.
Music for my soul!
The American dream meets reality in a bar that'd seen better days on a road goin' nowhere.

This sounds really good. Not like library music at all.
The spark of her lighter flickered like a firefly in the night. Briefly illuminating the darkness complimented by the aroma of whiskey. It was like a beacon of hope albeit ending in an instant.
And BOOM... her lighter exploded and so did she. A group of dogs came and began dancing around her. Then Jesus himself descended from the sky and told me "The guy next to you will begin to hand you his fingernails in 30 seconds. And it was at that moment I knew.... I had no nose...
I always wanted to go to a speakeasy where they played this kind of music...
Nah, this is for a high end urban establishment
I've never been to one, but I'm almost certain they exist and now I need to find one.
