The main problem for Italy Is ...... We not have anymore that GREAT DEFENDERS and GOALKEEPER.... For 100 years we had best in defense and some times also in midfieldes , see Pirlo + Gattuso ..... But NOW we destroyed everithing .... No more Defender , goal keepee , midfielders and for sure STRIKERS

Sure Italy won the 2006 WC, but from 1990-2002, Italy had a perfect defense, decent midfield & top strikers, they should have won several trophies. They've had to pretend Argentinian forward Retegui, who is not considered good enough for the bench in the Argentina squad, is Italian. It is either that or strikers who are even worse than useless such as Belotti, who scores about two goals a season at club level, Gnonto who never scores, Politano who can't score and Raspadori who doesn't want to score.
