Keep up the great work, all of you! It's people like you guys that keep the tech scene running! I can't wait to install this baby on my Touchpad! Haha!
I can not wait, I just got 1 Sunday 4 Christmas and am looking 4 mods n things so I can better utilize it and make it look sexier. Hope there are updates soon. Keep up the hard work guys! :)
great work, very fast progress. For all you touchpad owners, don't worry, some of the best developers are working on it. The best thing to do now, is to wait and not bother them. As non developers, other than selling them any additional touchpads you have, there is not much you can do to help them, at least until they release an alpha and beta version which is where we all will test and report any issues.
respect to the developers working on this! stop baggin on this guys ascent. he's contributing and improving functionality to technology. Cyanogenmod is the driving force for android just as Comex was the driving force to iOS's security
Very impressive guys! I have great respect for the fact that the cash winnings dont intrest you. The community thanks you for taking the time to do it right! Any place where we can donate?
Great job Dev's. For all of us that are waiting, be patient. Don't be like the iOS folks who were freaking out for months on end for an ipad 2 jailbreak. Let the Dev's work and don't give them a hard time. This is a ground up dev and it's going to take a little while. In the meantime get to know your WebOS. It's not a bad OS just support sucks!
Looking good even though it's an alpha build i've been waiting to see a video of android on the touch pad and this kinda stuff is all really cool and exciting lol
@DroidUniverse The bounty is for a FULLY FUNCTIONING Android Touchpad. This one is barely functioning. The ones that were accidentally leaked by the Quic developer team were fully functioning though, so maybe someone already handed over one of those for the bounty.
Excellent work once again .. one dumb question in which I see no mention of, or, you did not say during the video .. What version of Android is that ? Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb ?
@coool3331 Yes, there will be USB Host support. Cannot promise that it will be self sufficient, but the one with external vbus already works, see my other video about this.
@elksalmon84 I think it's because Honecomb (the tablet version of Android) does not have open source code yet. Getting Gingerbread is the best they can do for now.
@coool3331 To power what? USB? Probably yes if it supplies 5v vbus. Touchpad itself? Only when the screen is working. The Touchpad is so power hungry when the screen is on, it uses more than 500mA that USB spec allows it to draw.
@LogicThEncrypter With no source code, that is a far out dream. Considering ICS is being released in a couple of months, that will most likely be the next step after Gingerbread. The best someone could do would be a honeycomb sdk port, which will not be done by the Cyanogenmod team for the simple fact that they could not make it stable enough without the original source.
Even though This probably won't see honeycomb unless google becomes more open with the source code, I would love 2.3 on my touchpad just for the fact that android has a future. Surprisingly like the touch pad interface. To bad it died on arrival.
@jedimindalter Except WebOS is dead and android is not and has a more solid future. Maybe WebOS will have some sort of fan support with the sheer amount that are now out there with the fire sales but that will die off real quick with no official support from HP. Android on the other hand is thriving. Also the goal of cyanogen is to get a dual boot system so you can have it both ways.
Why would you want Android on the Touchpad? WebOS is far superior to IOS let alone finicky Android... this is like ripping the Interior out of a Lexus and putting in a Toyota's...
Keep up the great work, all of you! It's people like you guys that keep the tech scene running! I can't wait to install this baby on my Touchpad! Haha!
cant wait for this to be available to the public! thank you much guys and keep up the awesome work!
Well done, kudos to the passionate developers in the CM community. Bravo!
this is so cool to see the beginning of these things. even if there isnt much to see
I can not wait, I just got 1 Sunday 4 Christmas and am looking 4 mods n things so I can better utilize it and make it look sexier. Hope there are updates soon. Keep up the hard work guys! :)
Awesome work, thanks to you and all the devs spending their time on this project.

damn hp touchpad i still have it but the usb port is dead. for like 5 years now.
found you true a old channel of mine :)

@greentheonly Could you use a USB battery like mintyboost to power it?
Awesome! You guys should claim the bounty...!
Very nice, guys.

good news! and i would like to have honeycomb running on it....thanks very much!
I know the USB port on the TouchPad is micro USB, but.... will there be USB host support?!
what's the point it has a perfectly fine os running natively on it all ready.
just awesome, you sir are a bamf
@greentheonly Yeah, oops, I meant USB. Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. Good luck and great job so far!
cyanogen mod is so legit. someone get these people tablets!
Awesome!!!!
@LogicThEncrypter honeycomb source is not out yet!
@stanhry Android will actually be supported in the future and you will be able to access android apps.
Thumbs up for toichpads!
Cyanogenmod android is going to impart cult status on the Touchpad just like they did with the Nook Color.
I received an update last night-jgarciaIA
My question is will you be able to utilize video calls in Skype?
Even though This probably won't see honeycomb unless google becomes more open with the source code, I would love 2.3 on my touchpad just for the fact that android has a future. Surprisingly like the touch pad interface. To bad it died on arrival.
@thegreenonly use android vnc server to control the screen if you want
@drflynn73
well for one the source for 3.x hasnt been released as of yet so it will be much harder to do that.
@jedimindalter We are not forcing you to install it. If you need an extra assurance, please post your serial number here and we'll blacklist it ;)
#awesomee!
@itsGazaIan input keyevent 82 will unlock the screen
god bless your souls!
Begg's mum will donate hers. Will let you know once I ask her.
waiting for the kernel to be injected into it hahaha I laughed so hard
what's the point of phone android on tablet device?
If the 123,000 views don't express the interest in having android ported to the touchpad, I don't know what would.
@VideosMiscellaneous @limerhombus It's a team effort. I just happened to have the chance to testboot it first.
That is an awesome accent.
4 people waiting for Steve Job come back.
@st4ever1 input keyevent 82 will unlock the screen
@Jint3i he just seem to have russian accent or similar

Cynanogen the best .
This is what happens when a team works instead of infighting.

@kevinzsanchez Tony Stark installed Android in a cave...with a box of USB tethers.
@onaips there are easier ways like a keyboard and mouse, still not very useful in the grand scheme of things.
DEUTSCHpad, DEUTSCHscreen, DEUTSCHLAND!
Thank you for looking if you happened to see this comment! Bye!
@wanna8532 ya it would be awesome. $99 bucks and an operating system with a future would be the best money I ever spent.
Yeha Androooooooooooooooooooid x)
@LordGeek gingerbread
Lmao at his voice
This is device rape...
haha your accent makes me laugh!
Sexy accent!
A touchpad without the ability to use touch...hmmmm
This is so lame. Why bother with 2.3? There's already 2.2 on some Touchpads from the factory. Don't waste time with 2.3, get it working with 3.x.
Why is Borat narrating?
Why would you want Android on the Touchpad? WebOS is far superior to IOS let alone finicky Android... this is like ripping the Interior out of a Lexus and putting in a Toyota's...
too bad americans cant do this.
