I just love Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards together on Arrow. I think you can tell they enjoy working together, which I think is important. Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak are so much fun. I love both their characters and when they're together? they just get better and better. I'm really excited about seeing where Season 2 leads them and them together (as a team, friends, and more).
It was never that. The showrunners knew what they wanted since the moment they saw Emily and Stephen together. It was a build up of the relationship between Oliver and Felicity.

Her legs are absolutely divine. Anyway, i love how it flips the lore on its head. The Walking Dead has found success because it keeps fans of the comic also on their toes, leaning in closer to see how it all pans out, by being different to the story presented in the comic. I say keep things different for Arrow as well. I've accepted he's not Green Arrow, he's the vigilante. So as far that goes, i say Olicity FTW! No need to stay with the Laurel/Black Canary thing,

Dinah Drake is Black Canary in this season, Caity Lotz has been cast to play the part, Laurel will become Black Canary in a later season, its the same in the Comics, Dinah Dake who becomes Dinah Lance at some point. I'm not sure how they'll play that out but Dinah Drake is Black Canary and Laurel will evolve into Black Canary as time goes on, probably season 3/4
There's so much potential for this series. They could do their own type of Justice League in this. Especially, if they get another green light for at least 9 more seasons like Smallville. I loved Smallville, but I'd like to see Arrow do more in depth story lines with other heroes. Which they are doing a great job, I just am so excited this is picking up for another season. I thought there could be nothing to fill the void for my hero shows, now I got Arrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Summer Glau will play Emiko, I have absolutely zero doubt in my mind. She will be apart of Stellmoor International which is a front for The Outsiders. Her father will probably be the villain called The Komodo. Why do I know this? Because the current GREEN ARROW comic has suddenly revealed all this new backstory which is just perfectly being created around the time Season 2 starts. So Glau is Emiko, I bet Komodo will be in Season 2 as well.
I don't think we'll get Bats. He's pretty much only sticking to the movies. I think the best we could hope for from the Batfamily is either Nightwing, or Tim Drake or even Commissioner Gordon.

Remind that we're only on the beginning of the 2nd season, and if you watch this kind of series for a long time, you know that the main character ends up with an obvious character introduced (to us) on a 1st season.
