Bro made lore for corporate greed 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
? They won’t support a live game for so long for no reason. You’re not obligated to purchase anything. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@OneMor3Win Bro does not understand that the emporium has gotten out of hand and is being prioritized over making new content or fixing their broken ass game. Maybe if the game was great since launch they could rely only on sales, but instead they delivered an under-baked, glitchy mess that, while (mostly) amended, still tarnishes their reputation to this day.
@@Dexthedoge As a developer of a live service game I can assure you. Not even 10% of their development costs are being spent on the emporium. Due to its simplistic nature in reskins, they’re highly likely to be 1-2 years ahead of their release cadence anyways.
The quarterly income is what justifies continued development support in business, not the initial game sales. There has to be a continuous streaming quality ROI to justify a quality live team.
Also, things continually break as you add features, that’s the nature of development. Clearly the best engineers most- familiar with the code have been shifted onto bigger projects. I agree some of their most longest lasting bugs should have been fixed by now, assuming they’ve allowed young inexperienced 20-30 year old freshies handle engineering, I’m guessing they’ve “fixed” things in the past that lead to unforeseen issues, and now leadership and production do not trust engineering to move at too fast of a pace, and they require more QA checks before hot fixing anything. They’re avoiding adjusting features and systems as it’s probably sensitive. Which explains the extremely slow responses to any emergency hotfixes for basic issues, and why often there are work around for patches.
Keep in mind developers are working on active new features which take months to develop, whilst also occasionally doing bug fixes in between depending on the urgency.
The emporium has no negative effects on the quality of the development team, its success only improves everything. But I assure you, if the emporium wasn’t doing well enough, this game would have stopped receiving live updates years ago.
Be thankful it’s there if you care to still play this ‘glitchy mess.’

I agree some of their longest lasting bugs should have been fixed awhile ago, and without even looking at the code I have an idea what the causes are and the best way to fix it -but a lot of their fixes involve temporary hacks -> pointing to an inexperienced team… I assume they’ve allowed young inexperienced 20-30 year old “kids” to handle engineering.. this team has likely “fixed” many things in the past at once, that lead to unforeseen issues, and now leadership and production do not trust the engineering team to move at too fast of a pace, and they require more QA checks before hot fixing anything. That’s a production issue, they’ve classified bugs as low priority and haven’t reevaluated. There does seem to be a disconnect between the player experience and the teams priorities.
But I can’t blame them for that.

Its my first time watching one of your videos. I wasnt expecting how funny and witty it was gonna be. Great video mate, you've got a new sub.
They need to add captain Fumble to a tall tale😂
Fumble, you still have a debt to pay.
What’s with me finding these new, creative SoT channels. It’s great!! Subbed 🎉
For those DC comic fans, Captain Fumble turned into the pirate version of The Question.
Such incredible voice acting, great video 🏴☠️
Just found this and this was amazing I loved every minute
Reading the 3rd dialogue option from the emporium people reveal they are collecting ancient coins to unlock their power. (Power being the magic of the the Ancients)
I knew after the island reviews it was a good idea to sub to you

The fixed camera angles give me 2008 machinima vibes.
if rare is watching this, possible new tall tale?
Building off another comment.
I believe in the port merrick emporium, if you ask the shopkeeper about the emporium he’ll mention that it has connections to the GMU, and then he’ll immediately realize that he wasn’t supposed to tell you that.
Amazing video mate, I'm genuinely surprised you are not bigger than you are. Please keep going with this and I hope you'll grow
This is so good ommggg keep it up
Aye, I reck'n they be hiding secrets they are! (Making amazing content so far! Well done! 🍻)
I knew them Emporium were always a shady bunch.... Bloody Pirates!
I’d love to see some good machinimas or gameplay with your pirate, even a live stream sounds really fun
Impressive!
Amazing vid. The ending made me feel kinda bad for him. Lmao. Keep up the amazing work!
We making it out of port merrick with this one
Ye should bring even more light upon the evils of the Grand Maritime Union!
You have an incredible voice!
That's why you should have kept the burning blade and not give it to Junior!
bro is the lore
6:10 where where did he 😂😂😂
Amazing video!)
yarr, the pirate lord won't help us with this one mateys. i think we need to tell captain flameheart what's going on on the seas. He has let's say, a bit more experience in destroying the grand union. maybe he can help drive them back in the shroud.
I hear ye strange rumors capt'n, that a certain @KingdomofMachine is funding the operations at the emporium and is running the other stores dry of stock and soon he will have control over the whole market
Ye dare mention that cowardice cur of a King mate? Well just for ye I'll hold me tongue about it all. But if ye heard of that..."king" certainly ye heard of a certain himbo o' the Sea O' Theives aye? The pirate who be sailin' the flag o' The Jade Dragon, ye heard o' them savvy?
@@GalacticEclipse501 Ye, I have heard of the Himbo and his guild fighting for freedom but I just told because that "King" is trying to take over the market and supplies will go up in money
