Interesting that the kit came with figures. The clothing (flared pants) and hair also reflect the date of the car. Makes a good combo, wish more car kits (manufacturers) included that thinking. Will be watching your progress. Cheers GordE
Great parts lay out and start to this Dart Steve. The Twins will be happy to have everything back together, especially them, LOL. Your secant card arrived today. This will go onto the secant frame. Happy Thanks Giving Hope the day is filed with happiness and love.
Looking really good Steve. I’ll be looking forward to seeing the updates on the vinyl top. I have a couple of cars I’d like to do that to. Great job so far. Papadan
Steve, I'm really happy you are doing this kit and really sad now too lol. I have this in the stash and was excited about it but now I see it's a typical MPC. You, however, are making it look awesome as usual!
Nice work Steve, kit is definitely showing its age but I'd still like one. If you can thin those roof moldings down a bit they would look spot on. Love the fact it comes with figures too.
I didn't have the proper styrene strips at the time so I decided to "wing it" and make it a learning experience. Thanks for the comment Gary, each kit is a challenge to detail paint but they come out ok.
Looking great so far Steve! Your right those are some really nice Goodyears in there. I'm glad to see someone else using the Mop and Shine, Like you I use it for a semigloss/satin finish, It was kind of a happy accident I bought some when I couldn't find and future and found that it works well just not glossy... Great update my friend!
Thanks Mike, I saw the Mop and Shine in my workshop and remembered it, I find it gives a flat finish over the flat primer. I heard about it in a Chris Chapman video when I first started on youtube.
It gives a flat finish, I remembered seeing it in an old Chris Chapman video and had some in my workshop. However, I am spraying it over flat black (stynylrez) primer so I'm not sure if that affects it. I found it at Dollar Tree.

Great build so far..... and I love The Metro Goldwyn Minion at the end......

Thanks Joe, typical MPC, but I accept the challenge to make it mine. lol.
It looks like it is coming right along and looking good. Keep up the great work and have a great day.

@@ModelCarMinion Absolutely Steve, I still learn from every kit I do,......I also still make mistakes on every kit I do as well lol !!
It's good to experiment if it doesn't put a good kit at risk. Those figures are a bonus.
I'm testing my skills a little more on this one.

Looks great, buddy. And I like the idea of the LA’s Awesome Floor Shine. May have to try that. Is it a real flat or more of a satin result?
