- Welcome to this small Chinese town hidden in a forest.
Sit down and relax while listening to the forest, the river, the birds, and the quiet town.

The original picture was taken in the Summer Palace, Beijing, China. This small town at the entrance to the palace looked and felt like the town in Spirited Away.
The background music is based on a traditional Chinese song Jasmine Flower according to John Barrow.
I hope this video helps you focus if you are studying or working, or serves as a background to your reading.

Martia: I create ambiences with original music. My favorite genre is fantasy, but I sometimes venture into sci-fi, horror, history, or plain (but beautiful) natural settings.
I am heavily inspired by books, as I am a total bookworm, by PC games and DnD which my husband loves and talks about. I love long cross-country hikes, that feel like a huge adventure and you can see it in the number of traveling ambiences I produce 😀
You are at the right place if you are looking for one of these: ambient music for reading, ambient music for work, ambient music for sleep, ambient music for studying, ambient music for relaxation and ambient music for RPG, background music for studying, background music for reading, background music for working, background music for writing, or background music for DnD.

Really like this, most ambient artists are over-focusing on rain/fire sounds but almost no one is developing ambience in the oriental/Asian space. I particularly enjoy how this one is a mix of realistic with a dash of mystery/hidden/fantasy. Extremely realistic scenarios are boring and don't seem to trigger the imagination/dreaming part. Thanks a lot for this gem! Here are a few ideas you might like for your next projects: 'secret mountain martial arts monastery in the mist' or 'taoist master's secret mountain hut/cave' or 'secret ancient dragon's realm dimension heaven' etc.
Thank you! It´s the best compliment, that you find my work unique. I started making ambiences because I couldn´t find what I wanted to listen to :) And thank you for the ideas, I actually have some very similar ones on my "maybe" list, so it´s great to know somebody is interested ;-)
I agree completely, as well as with the secret martial arts monastery idea! Many thanks for the peaceful environment🙏🏼
Damn good ideas right there.
@@MartiasMuses And that's how ideas are born: the necessity to help us and do something good that no one has done yet? ^^
Thank you, both of you
Oh finally! An ambience without rain/fire/thunderstorm/seawawaves that outsound everything else. I love how all the sounds are well balanced with each other and deliver an actual ambience, not just a white noise.
I like the sounds of birds, it just makes the whole thing so much more alive. And the music is so pretty. Thank you so much for this video! ❤️
Thank you so much for your beautiful comment ❤️ I am so happy you enjoy my work. I hope you have a lovely day 😊
I absolutely adore this! The lanterns give this place a touch of magic. Jasmine Flower playing in the background makes it kind of mysterious. I'm a Chinese who grew up in a crowded city and I've always dreamt of moving to a peaceful little town, live a simple and carefree life. So thank you for making this. There's definitely not enough Chinese ambience videos out there.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am so happy you like it, especially because it is inspired by your home country :) I share the same dream of living a simple life in a small town, I hope your dream will come true ;-)
Thank you for this!! The evening/night atmosphere combined with the sound of crickets chirping reminds me of my childhood in China.
Thank you. That's the best compliment ❤️

I love ancient Chinese history and the idea of living in a rural Chinese village. This video helps me forget about my busy city life and relax, thanks :)
I took ancient Chinese art history class in uni and it was sooo fascinating, so I get you... I am really you enjoy this one 😉
I love this ambience and the sounds. It feel gentle and respectful to another culture. It has enough going on to make me wish I were there. Its sounds create magical realism. Thank You.
As a Chinese, it is fantastic!
Oh, thank you, i am really happy that you like it 😊
It definitely feel really peaceful and inspiring, make me want to go to a Chinese restaurant for some General Tso's Chicken with broccoli and white rice.
This is amazing! Helps me calm down my brain for sure
I am glad you found some peace here :)
Please keep this up, it helps me to relax and sleep ❤
I am so happy it helps you 😊
茉莉花, eh? That’s pretty clever to put into a Chinese ambience track.
Can't explain why, but that video has a Shenmue vibe. Very nice work !

When you're trying to find the source of the plucking but see not a soul... Maybe on a boat in the water?
If you eat Chinese food, you'll be hungry again by the time this video ends.
Interesting theory... Did you confirm it by an successful experiment?
Now I am hungry 😂
sound in low volume
This is cool, but just two things:
1. The picture is vaguely Chinese, but it's more Chinoiserie than actually Chinese. Chinoiserie is basically when white/European people try to make Chinese things. The building, for example, is definitely not Chinese, though it has a few kind of Chinese elements.
2. If this is the summer, then there would be the sound of cicadas EVERYWHERE. Night in China near plants is always really loud, because there are cicadas everywhere.
To the first point, as I say in the description, I took this picture myself when visiting Beijing, China, so it definitely is in China 😅.
@@MartiasMuses that’s cool!
Mostly it’s because I can’t see the roof lol??
Maybe it’s just me but I just see a random pillar going off into the sky??
It certainly looks like a Northern/ Beijing style building.
@@angeliquewu8318 it looks like am gate entrance
@@陸天篤 Makes sense, I'm probably more used to more Jiangnan architecture lol...
