The Durango is SO underrated...
Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler have really just come leaps and bounds the past 5 years in looks and performance. Im really happy to see that
Ford went sleek and clean.
Dodge went lean and mean.
GM went rugged and modern.

What is Citadel? Is that like the trim level? If so, that's dumb. Stick to random letters or Limited. Also, one thing that really bothers me about the interior is that the center console and the center stack on the dash don't line up evenly. That would drive me nuts if I were considering buying this.
You can actually get the V6 with the 6spd, my wife's Avenger has it. I've got this Durango w/the 5spd, and other than sluggish on the takeoff, it's pretty nice.

This is a much sleeker and cleaner looking suv to me than the ford explorer.

Dodge Durango sales numbers were low last year and still to this day the Explorer is still best selling , If the explorer was ugly people wouldn't buy them don't u think?

@skinnysponge They are similar. I think they look more like the Chargers. Be-utiful truck though! Can't wait to test it out. Sat in it in the dealership and the inside is really nice.

New Ford Explorer looks awesome too.
Here in the Philippines, the Ford Explorer sells like hotcakes while the Durango is, well, nah. Why? The top of the line 365hp Ford Explorer Sport with 3.5L EcoBoost costs $20,000 less than the 3.6L Pentastar Durango Citadel. Loooool

for fucks sake read my original fucking comment. I said "in the Philippines" HOW THE HELL CAN YOU KNOW SHIT about whats going on with our car prices? Check the link. That's a pricelist of EVERY car available in the Philippines on August 2015 (same time I posted my original comment). You'll see that the 3.5 V6 Explorer costs 20k LESS than the Durango Citadel. EVERYBODY FUCKING HATES KNOW-IT-ALLS, MAN. Stop being one.

GMC acadia gets better gas mileage, but the Durango can do more though.

Really the traverse and pilot are not direct competitors. However the Explorer is. But, the average family that doesn't car about hauling would see this to be true.

2nd gen. Durango has a truck base, seated up higher which better for off road condition. But 3rd gen has better looking design though....

Im still hearing decemt reviews about this gen Durango. Ofcourse you will see a bad review or experience here and there (you will find or experie ce one with any car maker / model). Maybe Mercedes helped out alot with this model.
No matter how nice it is exterior or interior but it's still a shitty Dodge in the long run!!
