If you pay close attention, every combat encounter is set up so you have multiple ways to beat it, regardless of difficulty. Check for cliff edges or explosives/ throwable enemies, experiment with different attack styles on different enemies. Each fight wants you to strategize accordingly. Its a cool way to show the intelligence of Kratos and the fact that he is a god of war in all aspects and not just the god of angry stabbing. Once you get it down, the games pretty much the same difficulty no matter which one you picked at the start.
@julianparker45 I get how you feel but, the trick to the draugr is using stun attacks (fists/shield bash, parry, etc.) Since they stun super easy, you can get the insta-kills off quick and the draugr finishers can be used to fight off the surrounding enemies... For example: the one where kratos rips them in half from the shoulder, causes them to explode giving you space and harming enemies. The second finisher has kratos pick one up and charge with it, this one let's you herd the enemies up and knock them down like bowling pins, which is where cliffs come in handy. Literally no enemy is a threat when fought well. The bestiary provides a lot of useful tips to beat opponents too.

Yea. I just got the platinum for this game this year after starting in July. Pro tip, explore and upgrade your stuff. Helps a lot; especially helps in Give Me God of War mode.
Dude a YEAR?? You must have the tightest job in the world, a family of 7 and play this game like 9 minutes a day. That sucks man. My plat timer is like 40 hours and I could go into an entire essay about how much I was REALLY taking my time and had no intention on platting the game until I noticed "Hey, I'm like 6 achievements away? Might as well." To put at least something into perspective I cant imagine how many of my 40 hours were spent in Muspelheim spawning the draugr over and over for nothing but fun and practicing all the crazy combat glitches I would see online. Not looking to start anything as well if it wasn't clear, I'm just actually a little perplexed.
@ no. When I said this year I meant it took me a while to get to playing the game. I started it in July and finished in late August. I had like 20 other games I played in Hard mode like Grounded Plus in Last of Us and the many playthroughs of Force Unleashed so I had plenty of time. That being said I dislike this game, mainly because of how much more slower it gets, my second major complaint is the camera, it sucks, mainly because so many visually colorful details distract you from paying attention to hud indicators which feels out of place. playstation Wrap says I spent the most time with that game as I had the app running at 160 hrs. I guess it accounts for the times I paused the game and just slept while my console was on. So yea I had plenty of time. Still think this sucks.
@@MancoDanko Yeah in my head for some reason I just assumed you bought the game on PC release like me, so you meant July of 2023, and then I checked just now and the game didn't even release when I thought it did, It released January of 2022. So basically, I'm stupid as hell and I don't even have a clue what I was talking about haha. And I personally love this game but I will add to your list of nitpicks cause why not. Some of the arenas in this game and the enemies they place in them are just not thought out at all. One that springs to mind immediately is you're fighting like 3/4 dark elves on this tiny platform, they ALL shoot a volley of 3 AoE projectiles at the ground that damage and blind you, and sometimes you can be pushed right up against a wall and there just isn't enough room to dodge it. That section had me ripping out my hair on Give Me God of War. Felt like you just had to bang your head at it over and over until the enemies DIDN'T feel like getting perfect projectile coverage.
@ the arena stuff was for sure annoying, I even managed to cheese the Elven King boss. I ran around the arena where the pit is at and stopped at the debris that blocks the oval path of the map layout. As soon as the King boss chased me to that corner I made my Kratos split as fast as he could to the other side of that debris area and started chucking my axe. The AI tried to use the shortest path but because the debris was in the way it meant that all the charge attacks it attempted to do was just running to invisible walls and for five minutes, having his health drain to zero. I’m glad I clipped it because without that cheese, I wouldn’t stomach how dumb those fights were like. Not like the Valkyrie fights made this game any easier.
