This can be broken through with introspection & humility, a self-reflection on spiritual shortcomings breaks the ego/false pride that contributes to complacency and no spiritual growth. Learning the truth that evil is an imagination, .. oh wow... and there is no need to prove G-d, .. this is all you need to expel evil by realizing it isn’t the truth. G-d reminds us of the animal soul, which has no substance, this is nullified in the presence of light and with our submission of our spirit to Light. Powerful!! G-d created the animal soul to challenge us, to become closer to the light. The light wants us to move through the challenges and use each of the challenges as opportunities to bond with the light.
