Taking extra care on wash day, consistently working out, eating very healthy meals and using a generous amount conditioner has allowed me to retain my length and have a healthy scalp.
The foundation is our scalp, and we must take care of our scalp.
Most focus on what they see, and that's the hair alone. The scalp is very impowhat's it?I did a video on this a couple of years ago.

This video is on time. My scalp has been so itchy and painful. I definitely noticed it after my stylist had to switch to mizani relaxer. I fought sharing it with my stylist but I’m glad I did because I instantly noticed a difference once she switched back.
Oh that is so good to know. Thank you for sharing! Will I don’t use Mizani ever, I’ve heard not-the-greatest things. My scalp had gotten pretty dried out too and I think it was a new detangling leave-in I switched to. Threw it out!

I have recently cut off my 30” micro loc’s because the self interlocking of the new growth had become a time consuming task.
My hair grows fast and now I have decided to wear it in short straight styles for a time.
While contemplating my decision I found interesting information about the Olaplex line of scientifically proven hair repair products that will repair relaxed hair as well as many other damages occurring to the hair shaft.

I suffer from iron deficiency anemia so I’ve added a iron supplement into my diet aswell as more iron enriched foods like spinach. Great tips 👍🏽

Oh amazing! You can find Ottawa’s Aveda store at the Rideau Centre downtown. But there are tons of Aveda salons in the city. My fave? Bossarts on Laurier Avenue (where I used to work)!!!

I've always heard great things about Aveda. I plan on trying it eventually, but I have quite a big stash to get through first, lol. I started using a scalp massager on wash day, and I think it's made a huge difference. I also recently started using a scalp serum by living proof. I like that it's lightweight but I can't speak for the results as I've only been using it for a week. I loved the tips you provided. 💜

Any tips for detangling knots & matted hair?

U need to get a detangle shampoo like keracare detangle shampoo, watch out on the products your using on your hair they may not be what your hair needs
Haha the in’n’out burger comment 😅😅😅 nutrition is HUGE when it comes to hair growth, no product is going to compensate for a poor diet, start there! My hair got so thick just from removing processed foods from my diet and focusing more on whole nutritious foods in their most natural form.

I have 1c - 2a hai😢that will grow and break. It won't hold a twist or a plait. Getting a blow-dry and curl is a total waste of time. I don't know how I can get this together. I'd love 😂if discuss this with you if you can. ❤

Umm - nooo…but I get a really bad itch in the same spot of my head. So does my sister!
