@@ladetswingI think it was allowed to use pre-recorded rhythms and effects that couldn't be achieved by the orchestra since somewhere in the mid 70's. My country, the Netherlands for example won with 'Ding a Dong' in 1975 using some pre-recorded instruments in combination with the live orchestra. And if I'm correct ABBA did the same thing in 1974
So the guitars in 'Boom Boom' could be on tape, played live by the group or maybe some members of the orchestra were playing them live.
