That's funny; I use them for poorer productions a lot of the time because they smooth things out, while highlighting the core of the song, with decent detail. Treble hasn't been a problem either. They suffer on warmer/thicker amps though.

I knew what I was getting into, for the most part, and I still enjoy them for a mellow listening with poor recordings especially. But these will never be reference. Easy listening, that's all I can really say about them, I'd still recommend them for that

It’s all subjective isn’t it? Find a reviewer whose preferences mimic your own and stick with them.
