He's a veteran of the animation and comedy field.

Yup, Disney should have been made more shows and movies with extreme chaotic themes and more like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, rather than dramatic musical and soft themes, their main genre.
These shorts honestly brought about a new renaissance for Mickey. He's no longer just a mascot with no personality. He's back to being his own character, just as Walt intended when he was making shorts.
I love the mickey shorts because they're exactly what I imagine the original mickey animations were like for their first audience, just with the charm and humor catered to what works today. It's excellent.
