I'm glad you appreciate the praise, you deserve it.
I know you get hammered with tons of questions about coins but I have one I would really like you to evaluate even though it's just words and not a picture. I have a dime and a nickel that are melded together and the dime is perfectly centered on the nickel... it's very rough and I can't see any detail on it whatsoever and it's not rough from like being hit with a hammer or rubbed on concrete so much, there's a little bit of that but not a whole lot of it especially on the dime side. And then it is attracted to a magnet and also the dime nickel will also pick up small shavings of metal. Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but... how did people order proof sets, say before 1900 or so?

I don't think they made em back then! Best guess is in the 1930s they started (maybe 1940s). Before then I think it would have been a special issue for presentation. A lot of weird stuff happened with the mints making coins just for private collectors (like 5 total) that are now very expensive.

Great video Christian. I wish I had just one. I'd be happy to find the 1975 no S proof. Also it's probably the only dime on the list anybody would have a slim chance of ever finding. Thank you.
