@@deltafaucet Why have the video if it is so vague. The printed instructions that came with our faucet are really poor. We got our faucet in but no thanks to the instructions or the video.
Agreed. The cheap faucet I put in the guest bathroom had better instructions. "Sealant" is too vague. It would have cost $0 to write clear instructions, and they couldn't be bothered. This will probably be my last delta faucet.
7/21/2022 Before removing the aerator, I would run the water to determine whether the flow is good. If good, I would not bother with the aerator step. Just saying.
Hi, Frank! Our DST models have PEX supply lines with 3/8" compression fittings that are designed to provide a water-tight seal. We do not recommend using thread seal tape with this connection. Please let us know if you have any questions! -Jon
Thank you for your question, Bluesdog 77! The Delta Porter single handle lavatory faucet is not a DST model. It has 1/2" IPS connection fittings. Please see the technical specifications document link below for the Porter faucet. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. -Tanya media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-L-15984LF%20Rev%20D.pdf
I don’t want to check my instructions, that’s why I’m watching this video!
Excellent explanation.
Yea thanks for trying to help.
I tried to remove the red/blue cap button using similar to a paper clip but it would not come off. I have the same faucet same in video. Thanks!
Can you use plumber's putty instead of silicone?
Not a good idea. Putty will crack over time and cause leaks. Use 100% silicone

My water lines are three years old. Are they reusable, or should I install new water lines when replacing a faucet?
500 to 520 says DO NOT use flat washer use beveled ones, SO How do you cut pex?
Not enough information in this video - did they put silicone under the flange that fits in the sink? When did they attach it to the drain?

Use silicone under drain flange on top of sink. Use plumbing tape on bottom where gasket is.
