1:58 started the lovely journey following horse racing in the early 70s watching Paul's dad Tommy on l escargot , paul is one of the worlds greatest horse men period, and to boot a lovely man , regards from county clare , nb maybe never got the hang of the rafters in the thatch in listowel 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I grew up with Paul as my hero. Ive met him loads of times and he's an absolute gent. Fairplay to the interviewer, you got loads out of him and he's a quite man. Ps, I don't know who you are that conducts the interviews but they're fantastic! Thanks, and keep it up!
His ride on belvano for Henderson in Cheltenham was the best i ever seen, to me he was the greatest jockey, great hands horses didn't know he was on their back, and he always minded the horse in a race never gave them a hard time in a race brilliant jockey, i miss looking at him riding
Even better was his victory in the Golden button challenge on a horse called Blaze ahead for Brendan Powell. The horse actually refused at one jump and lost considerable ground, somehow went on to win, its on youtube still hard to believe.
If this man came to decorate your house, the ceiling would be like the sistene chapel. Artist is too weak a word. He must have the kindest hands on planet earth.
I remember vividly watching Carberry on Frenchman’s creek and thinking this will never be bettered, as stylish as lester, could place one to a fence like francome and as big of a legend as his father all the while never abusing a horse, Great interview and best wishes from a longtime fan
Paul Carberry just a class rider he and Ruby are the best we have had. Harchibald Tidal Bay 2 of the querkiest horses to ride he won on. To watch him on a horse was an education. Dont make them like this character anymore
Good man Paul.
Great interview really enjoyed 👍🙏
