Mexico and India got political hard questions. Not even experts can answer them. Actually, mexico's answer to the question was very good. Even if she was nervous with the language barrier. The question was: If YOU were the leader of YOUR country (Mexico), how would you have handled the covid situation? She responded taking into account the specific situation in our country. She did not respond about the global situation, but about Mexico's situation Here in Mexico, the president did not take covid 19 seriously at the beginning of the pandemic and started the lockdown very late. @@xyhc The language barrier is a huge deal for a representative of North America. The Peruvian showed she is more worldly, not only that, but it is well known that a bilingual person has a larger conceptual framework and can handle two world views. There was absolutely none of the context you provide in Ms. Mexico's answer, none whatsoever. What do you tell a victim? There is nothing you can tell them, you can only inspire them to be the heroes of their own story. Everything about Ms Universe 2021 is cringy.. The final look, the double q&a that did not even show platform. What was that about.

Philippines will be a great contender if included in Top 5. She would've delivered an answer with an IMPACT. However, it's just not destined for her or the other candidates. But we all know that after this competition, these ladies are destined for greatness. 👑
Unfortunately people think that results are based on just one night. They are judged since day one. They have national custom competition, private interviews with judges( to know more about the candidates), Preliminary competition and final night. Andrea Meza (Mexico) won second place in Miss world 2017. She is very prepared, strong, and has a lot of experience. Judges said they won’t define the winner just based in 30 seconds answer. That’s why they know their backgrounds, community service, etc. Miss Brazil was also placed top 10 in Miss world. Please don’t spread hate and learn the way this pageant works.
I am just wondering why it is not an open interview, why closed door? How could we prove who excelled during those interviews eh?They should have showed the interviews of the top 5 at least to see if they nailed their answers...I am just curious because their q and a is somewhat....most of the contestants have community services and some of them are cum laudes not only her..

@@seonkawari1253 miss universe is not only Q&A round...if you see all the performance i think miss india and miss peru should have win
Peru has the most straightforward answer.
She delivered it sweetly
What affected Peru, was that she lost poise and elegance while answering.
She talked more like a politician in election times. I think that she exaggerated her gestures and tone of voice.
What affected her the most is that she did not respond the question made. She confused the tenses.
Question:
What would you say to the woman, watching tonight, that is CURRENTLY suffering sexual or domestic violence?
She answered that she admires their strenght and that they are heroes. Then she said she is the heroe of her own story.
But actually she did not respond the question. In her answer, she was refering to a woman that already overcame that hard situation.
The question was about a woman that is suffering in the PRESENT.
So it is very weird to tell a suffering woman that she is a heroe when she is not a hero yet.
The best answer for me would be to tell that woman that she is not alone and not to lose hope. Then help her with practical actions: inform that there are public institutions and ONGs willing to help her, take her there and get her legal and psychological help, etc
Also, when she was asked about climate change, she confused that with pollution.
Climate change and pollution is not the same thing. The firts one is a consequence and the second one is a cause.
She was very basic and cliche with her answer about recycling, etc. I admit this can help to prevent pollution but at a small scale. Then she said the phrase " little by little".
This is not correct, on the contrary, changes need to be done ASAP.
Things need to be done NOW not little by little.
If we do it little by little, the earth and the humand kind will be extinct sooner.
At this point, climate change prevention needs greater things to be done like involving goverments and the industrial companies to make a greater impact.
Because we (the people) can recycle and clean our streets, beaches and forests but it will not make a significant impact if big companies and industrial countries keep polluting and poisoning the planet at a larger scale just for wealth.
These are the reasons why, in my opinion, Peru did not win. She got easy questions and gave basic confusing answers.
@@xyhc totally disagree with your logic, regardless of the tenses of the questions she did answer it, she was asked what would she say - she answered "I would say..." and Imagine you hearing her answer when you yourself was suffering from abuse, wouldn't it move you? That at the end of it all you will be victorious, you can be like her a hero of her own stories, she were never silenced and that's the message. For the second question, climate change can never be solved with one big solution it never will, however the smallest contribution, little by little when done by many will create positive impact, and that's her message.
She might have lost some elegance but you can see she was not just competing she was enjoying every moment and that what makes her relatable.
Dunno why she lost, maybe she have really low score in interviews. Well who knows, but during coronation night q and a she was the outstandingly the best.

She did not respond about the global situation, but about Mexico's situation
Here in Mexico, the president did not take covid 19 seriously at the beginning of the pandemic and started the lockdown very late. That is why a lot of deaths could have been prevented. So it was good that she emphasized that people' lives are important.
A similar situation happened in the USA, that is why judges really understood what she said.
So, in fact, she had a great performance.
But most of the people saying she did poorly, dont know our country's specific situation.

She spoke from her heart and was empathetic because she has also suffered the same abuse, but the point is that it did not break her, it actually made her strive for more. If I can do it, so can you is the message. Reference to a public institution? Really? You are saying "you need help, so you should call 1-800- helpline"? Not good at all.

Oh! my God! Miss Mexico stuttered while talking, however, Miss Peru was way too confident and did not need an interpreter to help her out, aside from that, she is too way more beautiful than all of them; except from Brasil.
you shouldn't expect all miss Universe contestants to be proficient English speakers. After all, people learn and master languages at different paces. Miss Peru's proficiency in English should not take away from Mexico's response. Especially because in the second round of questions. Miss Mexico used an interpreter and was able to express herself better than she did in the first round without an interpreter.

The crown must belong to Ms. Peru. My reaction after hearing her answer was like Olivia's.
Just WOW!
Moreover, she's just the only one who answered with conviction and all her heart.
Only if Rabiya was there...
Peru should be crown and India should be the 1st runner up
Mas nakaka disappoint kung bakit si miss Mexico ang nanalo keysa sa indi tayo nakapasok sa top 10. 😂 sya ang pinaka walang ka sense2 yung sagot sa lahat.
Philippines will be a great contender if included in Top 5. She would've delivered an answer with an IMPACT. However, it's just not destined for her or the other candidates. But we all know that after this competition, these ladies are destined for greatness. 👑
Congatz to all candidates..!!
Winner Perú!!! ❤️🇵🇪👑👑🇵🇪❤️
