  • The M3 feels very different ever since gutting the interior so I wanted to share what it's like.
There are a few minor things I still need to sort out with the car. Then I plan on installing coil overs and corner balancing/aligning the car so stay tuned for more!

To give you a reference of weight, my DCT fully gutted all but the carpet from driver forward (Which im debating on pulling) is 3,360 1/4 tank of gas.

That still seems kind of heavy. I haven't removed any of the carpet or insulation on mine (except for that in the trunk) and I'm down to 3,330 with a lightweight battery, no driver, and no gas. That also includes the Studio RSR roll bar, which is roughly ~80 lbs. Without it I'd be down to 3,250.

Just done similar to mine, wiring loom will be sent off to be stripped down also which can save another 15kg.
A few brackets inside the car can be ground off which is another 12kg or so. Looking forward to seeing what yours weighs! Mine was at 3,330lbs before full strip (was clubsport spec before with half cage and rear gutted).

In the same process, but was going to strip the loom down myself. Where are you sending it off to, I'd much rather that :)

@@devin7499 Martyn at project Rogue in Germany mate. I wanted to do it myself but to do it properly require de pinning and having to re join canbus wires etc. The level of work he has done is well worth it

@@AntMTB Damn, of course it's Germany. Maybe I'll reach and see if I can ship it. Appreciate it!

@@devin7499 I had a mate who was going to the ring so he did me a huge favour and dropped it off. Was planning to ship it, you just need to remove the entire wire loom from the car mate.

Have you consider tire/wheel sizing as respect to how fun the car is on track/street? Meaning the wider you go the less it’s going to move and the faster you will need to go.

I'll be weighing the car but might be a while from now. The scales I want are on backorder.

I’m running redline only on the M5. 25k miles now and it’s great. Does not burn any oil.
