I am waiting for my first Pullip doll RIGHT NOW! Fed Ex tried to deliver her yesterday but I wasn't home. I got an email saying they would try again today so I have been on the porch waiting ALL DAY! She is Veritas Deep Crimson. I am almost sick with trepidation...fear that she won't come, excitement to see her. Maybe I will make a video myself.
On getting a first Pullip doll, I agree with your points, especially the doing your research (which I think is a fun part of the process). I suggest along with this, taking your time, because new collectors to any hobby tend to fall in love and get a bit overwhelmed at the beginning. Even though I've been collecting other dolls for years, I only delved into Pullips last year, and I found dozens I really liked. After letting online research settle in, I gained more perspective of what I actually wanted to spend the money to own. So, now I have 6, and I can't see having more than 10. I prefer to play with other fashion dolls, so the Pullips are more for display for me, and I have what I think is a nice variation of looks.
I love my Calico Nana. Pullip Veverka looks amazing I think I'll add her to my collection someday. My doll collection is at max capacity atm, I have Dollfie Miku NT on the way and I'd like to get Pullip Kuromi but I'll be focusing on outfits/accessories/furniture and maybe some sewing going forward. Your doll collecting journey has been amazing and I feel lucky that you have shared your journey with us.
Awe !! Calico Nana Twins - she really does have such a wonderful faceup and then such a cozy outfit - I love seeing her restyled on Instagram! Veverka is so cozy too right !! Man I’ve been on Miku overload lately and I love it hehe !!! Thank you so much for the positive and genuine doll love !! Yay !! Pullip Kuromi i think has such incredible stock and wigs that are unique are great value as wigs themselves can be so expensive !! But adding up clothes and accessories gives our existing doll fam a chance to be enjoyed more!! Thank you for hanging out with my dolls and me !! 💘

The Castle dolls are higher quality and are made in Japan directly from Licca Castle! If you go to the castle there is an area where you can see them making the dolls by hand! It’s fascinating! 💖
