I know a lot of people hate on S;G 0 but I knew from this first scene, that whatever problems it would have would be outweighed by the emotional depth. When you manage to get me misty-eyed in the very first scene, you are doing something right!
They screwed up the final arc on the Radio Building, I don't know why they had to change so many things from the VN, starting from Leskinen's real intentions to those awful action scenes. The series was still pretty good by the way, it helped me figuring out a few things i didn't understand from the VN and gave us very good episodes like the one in the Alpha worldline with Kurisu. Oh right, the last few minutes are probably the best in both series.

The way they made okabe land in 2036 doesn´t even make sense. (I played the VN). It´s been a year so i think i dont remember everything exactly how they screwed that up but they did. If i remember correctly in the VN he answered a call from amadeus and that caused a worldline shift. He wakes up in 2036 because he uploaded his memorys in amadeus and daru loaded them into his brain since he was mentally dead from toture. This was possible because it was one of the 2 routes, the kurisu route which you had to complete first. They would then send a d-mail to the moment where you had to choose if you would like to go the mayuri or the kurisu route. Then you had the route where mayuri enters the time machine and dissaperars but on that worldline he never even was in 2036. He created a time machine in 2024 to track down the crash landed time machine from 2036 so mayuri could return to 2011 to not create a paradoxon. This means Kagaris existence is possible. But in the anime they created a paradoxon with okabe in 2036 and mayuri dying in the time machine. They also made a second paradoxon. The worldline where he wakes up in 2036 is the same one where mayuri died in the time machine. So how the fk was kagari with them then? She was a war orphan adopted by mayuri in the future. It just isnt possible.

A time traveler always come from a PREVIOUS worldline's future, not from the current worldline's future. So in the current worldline, there is absolutely no need to Mayuri adopt Kagari. Kagari's adoption already happened in the previous worldline, where she came from. Actually, the way Okabe ended up in 2036 in the anime made more sense. In the VN, 15 day just simply vanished from Okabe's memories (2011 Jan 15th - 2011 Feb 2nd) with no explanation. In the anime, there were no plotholes like this.

I legitimately cannot understand the people complaining on S;G0. Both parts swept me of my feet and are both 100/10 for me. I mean like wtf u talking bout?! It’s not like I’ve seen or red anything better in my life, and I’ve seen and red a lot.
Ya steins gate 0 is like a missing part of the story And I love that how they devlop Mayuri's character. I always knew there's something more than a friendship between Mayuri and okabe.
The Anime of Zero (minus some anime original bits like showing the thousand time leap jump and the ending) was not handled very well. The VN was superb especially when you replay/rewatch OG Steins Gate for that emotional satisfying payoff. Hoping Zero Elite gets it right.
Mayuri's death was the saddest part of the whole anime Having a loving cousin sister of mine I can totally relate to the pain of Okabe It literally broke me

I legitimately cried when I heard this melody in the 1st episode of 0 EDIT:Well Steins;Gate 0 was a huge dissapointment for me. 5/10 for me as opposed to the 10/10 I gave the original.
I understand your disappointment, but the last 8 episodes of Steins;Gate 0 were so emotional, powerful, and inspiring that it actually saved the series from its' initial lack of focus and story. And those last 8 episodes were better than the entirety of Steins;Gate. To pull yourself from a dark point and slap yourself into shape with the help of your friends made Steins;Gate 0 in many ways, better than Steins;Gate near the end. Sadly the lack of focus and story for 14ish episodes is a problem but the show really ended off with a bang. My personal rating would be an 8/10 because Steins;Gate 0 saved itself with an emotional and inspiring conclusion to the alternate reality.
