Pakistani bowlers are known for pace or were known for pace. 2 Ws were ofcourse a class apart but even bowlers before them like Sarfaraz Nawaz, Imran Khan, bowlers around them like Aqib Javed, Fazal Mehmood,bowlers after them, Umar Gul (in his prime) were quality pace bowlers.

i am from Rawalpindi and watched lots of matches in stadium, we can easily feel the differece of speed between Shoaib Akhtar and other bowlers in live match. you can easily see the ball when its traveling from bowler hand to batsman bat but eye cant catch his ball until batsman play that. salute to him

Morne Morkel had some evil, dangerous bounce with his deliveries, probably because of his big frame and length. I've seen him hurt some of the best batsman the game has produced with some nasty bouncers.

Lasith is nowhere as great of a bowler as McGrath but when it comes to sheer ball after ball producing the same length and line, I've not seen an equal to Malinga. Bowling a majority of pretty much the same line and length for his whole career is a showcase of his accuracy.

When Fast bowlers ball , they take long run ups and the wicket keeper usually tend to stand behind the stumps nearly equal to bowlers run up , But when Shoaib Akhtar balled the used to come just close from the boundary and the wicket keeper used to be near the boundary behind the stumps ... nothing is was more epic to watch him ball live from the side rather then behind or front ...

Surely Thomson and Lillee are the scariest combination in test cricket history. Shoab was insane, but had limited control over where it was going. Lee was able to swing it at 155+. Watching old videos of Tommo and Lillee, you get the sense they would have been proud to leave someone with a head injury... That's a different level of nuts
I think Shaun Tait was the quickest among the fast bowlers of that time. He doesn't have the fastest bowl to his name but he could bowl over 150kmph consistently.Lee and Akhtar were also fairly quick but not as consistent as Tait in terms of speed.
Suprised Mohammad Asif and Glen Mcgrath were not mentioned. Indeed their consistency line and length was pure perfection putting alot of batsmen in trouble
Shoaib Akhtar was box office! The long run up. The intensity with the puffed out chest during the run up, intense face, the hair flowing back and bobbing up and down, the grunt and the speed. He's hands down the greatest fast bowler ever! It's not always simply about stats before people go on about Glenn McGrath etc
Definitely. To be fair none of these guys faced him (not sure about Langer) and he was injured so often his name just doesn't come up purely through a lack of people knowing.
All of them are great bowlers but to me the best amongst the greats will be the ones who got their wickets unaided either bowled or lbws and when you search that you will find wasim Akram ,Waqar younis and Shoaib akhtar right at the top relying on nobody but just their own fierce pace, late swing and accuracy.

Shoaib Akhtar was box office! The long run up. The intensity with the puffed out chest during the run up, intense face, the hair flowing back and bobbing up and down, the grunt and the speed. He's hands down the greatest fast bowler ever! It's not always simply about stats before people go on about Glenn McGrath etc

Pakistani bowlers of the 90's and the early part of the 2000's were just awesome...!!!
All of them are great bowlers but to me the best amongst the greats will be the ones who got their wickets unaided either bowled or lbws and when you search that you will find wasim Akram ,Waqar younis and Shoaib akhtar right at the top relying on nobody but just their own fierce pace, late swing and accuracy.
