A bit of free advice for anybody currently looking for a superzoom.. Ok, I bought the Canon SX50-HS when it first came out a few years ago and at £199 (black friday) I was highly impressed with the image quality.. image stabilization.. low light capability.. dynamic range.. depth of feild.. high ISO etc.. all excellent.. So then my dad fancied a superzoom and I noticed these Sony H400 being a 63x zoom.. so I treated him to one. He seemed very happy with it and out of curiosity I done a side by side test with the Sony and Canon.. Straight away I noticed the overblown highlights on the Sony and then on full crop you see the fuzzy resolution of the photos which looked terrible. I shot both in manual and then full auto and even though the Canon SX50 is only 12mp and 50x zoom.. it made the DSC-H400 ( 20mp and 63x zoom ) look like a cheap kids toy camera.. I have since sold the Sony and moved on to a Canon SX60 and gave my SX50 to my dad. Sorry to anybody who already owns this camera and I don't mean to come across as a killjoy, but my advice is to do a side by side with a Canon or even a Nikon L810 (21x zoom) also had better results on full crop than this Sony.. better to get rid and improve image quality. I would dare bet nobody can debunk my comparisons ..
@@Ranveer_Singh_Kahani I definitely agree with you.. because even though the sx60 is newer and has a bigger zoom range than the sx50.. I can still safely say that the sx50 produces better images and I regretted selling mine straight away.
@@Zionist-Occupied-Government sx60 like soft and blurry...thinking of buying sx70...but still expensive..i miss the analog dial in sx50...now my hx400v had error E62:10...stabilizer error....just go for canon...heehehe

I purchased the HX400v last week after buying a previous model and I'm very happy with it. but i'm going to see a waterfall next week and I want to know how to make the water look misty can any one tell me how in as much detail as possible please.
Sony DSC-HX400V or Canon 200d? I know that one is Point and shoot and another one is DSLR, but which one is the best for photography and Videos in all the ways so that I can buy one of these. Please compare output/features on a high level in your reply.
hello sir i have collection of very old coins and stamps. its not possible to take the original and travel so i was thinking of taking very clear picture of them and i can carry them on pen drive and show anybody. Between these two which u suggest ? as coins are very old i really need a very good quality image nd every detail
as i have to take pictures from close only but i want clarity so that i can check the mint mark which is not visible from eyes, i brought 6 x magnifying glasses but not much help, was thinking will take picture and enlarge on screen it will better
Sony H400 лучше для фото, потому что там оптический зум больший, а значит, все достоинства HX400 для дальнего фото растворяются в пустоте. А вот для видео, действительно лучше HX400, т.к. можно писать в FHD
Yo tengo sony dsc H400 y tu pusiste no flash memory. Y si tiene para poner memoria flash. Creo que la informacion donde buscaste tu no es correcta. Tambien otro error tu dijiste no tiene HDR y si tiene la H400.

Seriously no manual focus?!! Dame I never know that it means everything to me you should put it in the first with high light... I'm not interested to use a "smart camera" after so many years of tortures I got from the "SMART" phone... It just can't have a correct focus no matter u tried 10 or 20 times... Especially when I try to scan a high quality QR code or a tiny sized dictionary... Such a mare...
