I think everyone who's done theatre in college or been involved in the arts knows someone exactly like Sandy back in college lol. Man, does Teri Garr nail this part.
Such a brilliant comedic actress.
I miss her acting!!!!!! Teri Garr is sooooooo good!❤
What happened to her?
Teri Garr is so outstanding in this movie and especially in this scene. Love her!
So good! That scream!😳😳😳😳
Teri Garr was so funny!
Her outfit is perfection here amazing wardrobe Id wear it all tomorrow
Timeless style
I guess Sandy no longer has a problem with anger.
"I think I should tell you to go shove your play"😂😂
This is one of the best comedic "couples" scenes in film history😂😂
She's a great actress and very funny. These have been popping up in my suggestions for a few days. I'm going to have to watch the movie again. It's been decades...
Love Teri Garr! She’s so funny 😂
They don't make movies like that anymore. Great acting, great writing and no agenda.
Actually the point of the movie was a guy who treats women like crap learning what’s it’s like to be a woman being treated like crap. Not sure if you’d call that an agenda but there was a message.
Teri plays the struggling NYC actress to absolute perfection in this.
I love Teri Garr. She was so cute in the Star Trek episode and she just got better down thru the years. I hate so much that she has MS. So many stars seem to get neurological diseases.
Why is it that so many stars get those diseases?
@@rr7firefly I've wondered. Peter Frampton has one, and someone else I can't remember. Celine Dion has one. On and on.
My very favorite scene in this movie.Teri Garr's comic timing was phenomenal. I thought that Sandy was someone that every man is entitled to date for the sheer excitement. I'd have been first in line if I'd been there.
My favorite movie ever!!!
Mine too. So funny, so witty, so clever. And wonderful performances all round.
Personally, I think Garr is better in this movie than Jessica Lange is, and she's just as pretty, too.
Teri Garr should have gotten the best supporting actress win. Jessica Lange was excellent, but she was the lead actress.
I like this movie, but I like it less as time goes on, and the way Michael treats Sandy is a big part of it. The humor mostly stands up and the acting is wonderful. It also has some positive and insightful points to make (subtly) about gender roles. But Michael deceives two women in really mean ways and still triumphs in the end. That disturbs me.
Well part of that is because Sandy allows herself to be a doormat lol
oh give us a break, delicate one.
The movie is pretty clear in showing Michael learning how to be a better man by seeing what it is like to be a woman -- how men constantly demean and lie to women to get what the want. He starts out as a schmuck who is very superficial in his relationships with women; he is much more like Ron than he would like to admit (there is a scene where Ron uses the same language to Michael that Michael used earlier to Jeff). By the end of the movie he sees how hurtful his attitudes are. Think about it -- at the very end, Julie asks to borrow one of his dresses -- that's what women do with their good friends! It's meant to be funny, but it also shows that friendship is going to be a big part of their relationship. Sadly, Dustin Hoffman didn't really learn much from this movie. He said he was quite distressed that men would not be interested in Dorothy, even though she was intelligent and funny, because she was so unattractive. He admitted he would never be interested in such a woman and that he shouldn't feel that way. But there is no indication that being in this movie changed his mind.
I didn't agree at first. But I think women characters are more likely to pay for their sins in film. You have a point.
@@CRIM479 You don't have a point, or you are incapable of making one that is coherent.
How could Jessica Lange win best supporting actress for this movie over Garr is simply mind boggling.
I KNOW 🤷
@@swanzettajohnson7882 And I love Lange. But she should not have won over Garr!!! This is why I don't take award shows seriously.
