Sometimes comedians only make jokes about their own race, which feels too self degrading. Sometimes they only make jokes about other races, which also feel not good. When you hear spoken English with words ending in: "-lah", "-ah," "-man","-yah", very likely you are listening to Manglish. When you hear : "want or not" or "can or not", instead of: "yes or no", you very probably overheard a Singaporean adult talking to a child in Singlish! No thanks to the colonial British that was (and still is to some degree) how the Chinese in Malaysia and Singapore spoke the language. Sometimes comedians only make jokes about their own race, which feels too self degrading. Sometimes they only make jokes about other races, which also feel not good.
