Gary, Ian Paice on drums, Neil Murray on Bass and John Sloman on keys and high harmony vocals. That was one bad-assed line up. Probably my favourite Gary solo...which is saying something!
Tommy Eyre on all keys except for Falling In love with you which is Don Airey. Should be noted that Bobby Chouniard, Billy Squiers late drummer, plays drums on "End of the World'
I was 20 yo at that time. I still remember the scenery when I listened to this song in my first car. Thank you Gary. Your songs take me to old memories.
This solo revealed the immense talent that GM possessed. Melodic.....incredibly passionate and fierce. One of a kind. Out of all of the solos that he ever played as a rock guitarist, the melodic composition of this solo revealed his pure genius.
While his guitar gently weeps... the Master himself. Unforgotten his brilliant play and vocal presence. I'll miss him, more and more when listening to his music. Hope to see him again somewhere else sometime. Till then Rest in Peace...
I was getting my hair cut at a barbershop at the end of my freshman year in 1983- this came over the mainstream radio station being played. I was totally blown away by the emotion in the solo. It changed my life forever as I had just started playing guitar 2 years prior. I went directly to the music store the next day and bought Corridors of Power. Unfortunately I don’t have much hair anymore but am so thankful that a barbershop experience turned me onto Gary Moore! One of those life changing moments I’ll never forget !
This song is from the days when Gary Moore was a fantastic hard rocker, i really loved all the albums that he did between 1979-1989, what a fantastic ballad, the keyboards, the sweet voice of GM and the guitar solo, i'm walking every day some 40 minutes for the sport, today i was walking while listening to this song on repeat, what a treat it was, i was walking but i felt like i'm flying, thanks Gary Moore!!!
I love this song. BTW, is this really the same musician who performed "Parisienne Walkways" and "Still Got the Blues"? Just unbelievable. He is just great!!! Want to go back to when I was a teenager.
"Always Gonna Love You" It's not the same when I look in her eyes. The magic's not there. And when I look, I realize What we could have shared. I'm always gonna love you If loving means forever. I'm always gonna want you. I don't think I could ever Just forget the love we had. It's not the same when she's here in my arms Or the smile on her face. And even though with all of her charms She can't take your place. I'm always gonna love you If loving means forever. I'm always gonna want you. I don't think I could ever Just forget the love we had. It's not the same when I look in her eyes. The magic's not there. And when I look, I realize What we could have shared. I'm always gonna love you If loving means forever. I still remember the first time I was introduced to The Corridors Of Power album and from there my love for Gary Moore grew. This Song is such a beautiful ballad...RIP Gary!!!
Great for this little Country of ours , IRELAND, we produced two of the best guitarists ever in Rory Gallagher and this man Gary Moore , both superb, they could make a guitar cry and bleed like no other . Both now playing in the great Concert in the sky , RIP . Dare I say it Gary was a bit more commercial ,not that that's a bad thing , love this song with great piano bridges , guitar lyrics and vocals
Damn right, freddy c. Philo, Rory, Gary - three great musicians from the island (Gary was from Northern Ireland), all taken too soon but thankfully each one was a prolific songwriter. It pains me that a lot of people think Lizzy are a one-hit novelty-song band - I love all the incarnations from start to finish.
Man that solo. Gary's fretboard has smoke coming off it by the end. Not thousands of notes but every one of them with maximum feeling. I reckon he had just about the most tasty vibrato of any guitar player I've heard.
Listening from 1983. or so...never will stop. One of my dearest, most influetial guitar player of all times. If not the dearest one. His feeling for melody is absolutelly amazing. Like Sunny Tiger said, thubs up if your listening in 2017. Then I'll know that I'm in great company !
One of the most beautiful songs ever written and yes Gary has a unique voice that more than compliments his compositions. Cracking solo too! Like Hendrix he was the complete deal.
That's what I am talking about :). Gary was so underrated in my humble opinion. What he can do is very very advanced: he sings at that high a level and still plays terrifically to support and enrich his song. He was not even slightly weak or less competitive at either part at all. Superman he was!
I do, this song came out the same week, me and my High School Sweetheart got together ( 1st love) , from 1982 to 1987. To this day, all the people from then ask, if we are still together. She broke my heart, I then moved to Hollywood and joined one of the more popular bands there .... she did me a favor by breaking my Heart .....
Wow Ian Paice on the drums. Man all of a sudden I am 13 again..miss the 80's haha! Gary's solo's were so melodic and memorable as if they were themselves little songs within the main song. I particularly loved his "Rockin Every Night" live in Japan. Wishin Well , I can't wait until tomorrow, and his tribute to Randy Rhoads ..Sunset..were incredibly emotive. Some of the best rock guitar playing I have ever heard. I always thought Vivian Cambell from DIO and Whitesnake ripped Gary's licks off to the T. Obviously he was a huge influence. Thanks for posting this. RIP Gary.
This man is a legend we will never forget you Gary you were amazing a guitar god and genius pouring your whole self into your guitar and music you will live on and on in your music your playing with all of the guitar greats who passed on up in heaven to the angels above 😇we all love and miss you Gary loved and never ever forgotten RIP you earned💓
I remember when i was a toddler back in the 90s,seeing this video clip when my parents play it on VCD :D..this is Gary Moore first song that i've heard, man what a beautiful memories.I always picture myself as Gary and my friends as his bandmates :P
I was just watching a video of him before he passed you could tell he lived a very hard life he looked much older than he was a phenomenal guitar player a virtuoso and this song reminds me of someone

One of the 80s most underrated songs.
One of the best ballads as far as I am concerned...💔🤟
GM was soooo talented. The music world will always miss this musical genius
I was 20 yo at that time.
I still remember the scenery when I listened to this song in my first car.
Thank you Gary.
Your songs take me to old memories.
Thank God for Gary...
So we're just going to ignore the fact that Gary also has incredible vocal ability?
I wouldn't call it incredible
He did songs that he barely managed to sing,at least Corridors of power had lots of high notes. He was very talented and accomplished musician. RIP
Let's keep it calm. We all do love him, but his voice is just sympathetic. I never stopped thinking about using a great singer in his solo albums.
No. It’s just he’s a phenomenal guitarist. In my opinion the greatest.
@@George292RainbowGary Moore's songs can only be sang by him.
This is, in my opinion, its the best thing in his career. A masterpiece of his entire oeuvre.
Rest in Peace, dear Garry.

Shapes of things was Bitching too.
One of the most amazing power ballads ever, right from 1982. Gary Moore: Legend. RIP 🤘🏻
What a song. Sadly! We will never hear a song like this again. RIP Legend.
A big loss many years ago.
Gary Moore truly was a legend and I'm thankful I still have a CD player in my truck!
Gary moore un genio, que aunque no esté físicamente, su guitarra se sigue escuchando con mucha fuerza en el infinito del universo
Hermosas palabras!!!
Great song, by a great musical artist. Classical power ballad.
Gary was so intense he broke the higher E string when dubbing his own solo in the rain. He is a legend alright!
Its not rare to snap a string doing high bends
No ....but Gary snapping a string is?????
@@Glamosapien yeah but it's surprising they didn't redo the take.
