The hate for the Dragon Fist SEZA needs to be studied, a unit from YEARS ago fits comfortably on my 2024 Buu Saga team and can put out crazy damage, solid defense and dodge supers. I don't think we COULD have asked for more. I love the unit!

Broly allowed you to setup your rotations and at least play the game which made you feel like you were building up to something even if you lost. With Fusion Zamasu it was just down to your opening rotations making the fight infinitely worse to play.

i dont know how truth is adamant about saying RZ Broly is worse designed than RZ MZ, atleast Red Zone Broly you could have the option to build up first and see fancy attack stat numbers (with Potential to Raw tank the super), whereas MZ's AoE counters a large majority of the game and there is nothing you can do to counter it
*From a game dev's point of view, this is why I believe Truth is not understanding what EZAs offer to the game:*
In last year's WW, we got a survey specifically asking us to order the number of our most wanted content: I forgot what the third option was, but the first two consisted of long content and more powerful EZAs. The 9th anni gave us both. I think Truth has a point in grading EZAs in a very matter-of-fact way-based off how they are on release and what he believes EZAs are intended to be. However, that view lacks vision on why players enjoy EZAs. In game design, two things you have are mechanics and dynamics. Mechanically, EZAs may have been initially intended to make the unit not utterly useless, but able to be run in some content. Dynamically, players viewed EZAs as the revival of old units to be used in current content. Any good game dev has to address dynamics when they pop up. So Akatsuki can either clarify why EZAs are typically lackluster and confirm their stance not to change them. Or they can say, "We hear you, so we're making EZAs more powerful." Omatsu said many times that Akatsuki wants Dokkan to be more and more fun (shocker), so we can see why they went with option 2. This is what players mean when they say EZAs should be better. They're not saying EZAs don't work as intended, they're saying EZAs should be better implemented by being more powerful because that's what makes them fun.
I have been playing this game almost since release, and I can say with 100% confidence that Gogeta's Meta and the 2024 Beast Era are incomparable. Not only did Gogeta, like Gohan, melt all the content before him with ease. He made EVERY team runnable. On release, Gogeta was the unlock key for the Dokkan Battles which were our hardest content Y1. I'll do you one better, his SSR made content runnable. You could summon him, 1/10 SA with max level and clear content. This was UNHEARD of then or since. Alternatively, you could run a friend Gogeta and clear content. I cannot understate how clearly he gapped the game. Imagine having 1 Beast Gohan, SSR and clearing red zone/blue zone. That was how clear the difference in strength was.

agl vegito is honestly defensively not the great. you cant run vegito in slot 1 and in slot 2/3 he has approx. 1.2m with 20% dr ?? if 1.2m with guard isn't enough how is 20% dr enough
not gonna lie after what you said about seza ssj3 goku being able to decimate the red zone zamasu fight i decided to bring him in and he immediately got aoe'd and was hit for over 1M dmg. that seza is horrible.

People hate Fusion Zamasu because of the INT AoEs turn 1, not PHY phase, not because of the super attack damage, just AoEs.
Remember how much people were mad at the release of AGL Android 21 because she was useless against the fight people cared about even if she was broken everywhere else (Omega had AoEs also, which she was not good against).
Is like releasing AGL LR Ui Goku just after the Red Zone AGL Broly, what do you think people would feel about him?.

I think its important to note (not that it takes away from Truth's point, is just why there's a different perspective) is that so many players would whis or double whis during STR Broly, so that made the fight inherently far less frustrating for them than for Truth or no item players (an equally valid playstyle). Whereas with fusion zamasu they would either item in first phase and die in the second, or die in the first phase trying to save items for the second.
The Fusion is the Big maker money just for Anniversary,WWC(except UI and Beast) maybe Namek SG, Cell SG could be worth it. And yess, I think OG DB and Sayan Saga is not never being a Anniversary and WWC right now,but Golden Week, Tanabata, Christmas celebration and New Year they're could do that.
Neither UI nor Beast are on Fusions level of money making, we've seen 2 banners that have ui and beast each and neither are even CLOSE to the fusion banners.

The 7th anniversary units gets cooked during the event. Even though global received cap ginyu and pan later, it was still difficult despite the units being built for the event(especially pan), you will have to wait for worldwide celebration characters to actually have a better chance
For zamasu's case u have elite characters that can no item the stage such as orange piccolo, teq fusion zamasu, wt goku( a bit wonky), phy god goku, agl blue vegito(future team), gohan and trunks carnival lr, heck even trunks and vegeta who's a year older can still be used.

I think part of the reason so many people don’t like the zamusa fight is because when we got broly on global we already had multiple 200% leads so the game wasn’t punishing us as much as it did for jp players.

Fusion zamasu was an infuriating hard fight for me, but that's what made it fun imo. It felt so rewarding when i would get to phy fusion zamasu, and when I was finally able to beat him.

@thevipez8740 Look when the "worst" unit of the anniversary is sitting at the table with some of the better units in the game they are factually not underrated and can't be. You are acting like they're the best unit ever released. But you have to acknowledge that there are units that there are units that are better than them. That doesn't mean they're bad or underrated. It just means there's units that are a little better than them. The beauty of the anniversary units (with the exception of Beast because obviously) is that they're interchangeable in terms of ranking. They're so close to each other that there really is not proper ranking outside of pushing a silly agenda.

Problem with redzone zamasu is the fact you have a daily limit and you literally can have a chance of just literally not get to attempt all 5 attempts of the day
we are the point in the game where boss stats and abilities can be nullified by strong characters that are on many teams to me power creep is when you feel you have no out period, both zamasu and broly were bosses that required hope these new bosses can just be nerfed with broken abilities

For the Broly and Zamasu argument, maybe it's just me, but I would rather 'play the game' for 5-6 turns and THEN die to AOE Broly than to select my orbs and then die without playing a SINGLE turn against Zamasu.
42:52 Comparing Beast to Gogeta is criminally underrating how hard Gogeta dominated the game. The hard content as it is now is a 9 and Beast is a 10, BUT! There are other 8-9-10 units to compete in those hard fights without Beast. Back then, the bosses were an 8 with every "top tier" unit being at best a 5, making a full team of 5s wasn't going to garentee win, unless you get the god run every 7 of 10 attemps ended with using stones for continues. Gogeta not only was a level 10 unit, he made the bosses at best a 6 and every unit in the game look like a 1 in comparison. You could've ran Gogeta, five trash sr's and r's, and Friend Gogeta and win effortless. Its incomparable

The reason people don't like fusion Zamasu is because most people have 55-69% teams. With broly you could at least try and use stacking units in the two previous phases and have some active skills to blow him up because he had no HP. Zamasu AOE happens right away. Truth need to do a series where he takes a team of 55-69% units through all the hard fights, and I promise you his outlook will change.

Until my dying breath, I will say Truth defending dodge during the era of Dokkan where end bosses canceled dodge was the wrong call.
His argument was dodge is so OP they had to block it. If you couldn’t use it then it had no value to players because it benefited no one with the exception of Super Battle Road.
Why add to a characters build something that had limited benefits? It made no sense.
Give a character dodge who couldn’t use it or add additionals and crits and hope that you take the boss down faster. It was an easy decision during that time in Dokkan history.

I pulled two copies of the gammas. They were pulling me through content well before I even pulled 1 copy of Beast. Whoever thinks they're underrated is sorely mistaken.

I actually used AGL Vegito against all the tough fights to try and beat them.
Here's the results.
Supreme Battle Spectacle:
Gogeta Blue: Died 3 times. (Died once against SSB Goku and Vegeta and died against Super Saiyan Gogeta.) Finally won at my 4th attempt after beast used taunt and Gogeta did too.
Beast: Died to Ultimate Gohan twice and died again in beast Gohan once. Was actually able to transform into Vegito this time. He dodged Beasts Super and My beast just wiped home.
Trunks: 💀
Cell Max: died 6 times by them not dodging in slot one BECAUSE THEY NEED TO BE IN SLOT ONE TO DODGE. I gave up on this one. I don't think beast can save this mf.
Kid Buu RZ: Did decent against STR kid Buu. Was basically useless for Kid Buu. He just fed him tons of attacks causing him to build up more and causing Evo Vegeta to die (I already used revive cause they got caught by a super earlier).
Beast Gohan Memorial Fight: Died to Orange Piccolo twice and died to Beast once. He was able to transform at my final attempt and was able to wash Beast with Beast and UI.
If you're asking why they keep dying so much is because if you want them to tank anything you need a future ally. So I brought either Future Gohan or SOH Trunks, and they need to be slot one to dodge. They dodged decently well. With at times getting caught by literally just normals and even with guard took 400k from a normal from Gogeta. I was able to beat all of them except two. They did below average. You shouldn't consider this unit on your team (unless you literally have no good units or it's your fav unit). Them needing slot one to be okay defensively is actually irritating. And in total I transformed into Vegito two times....
This character is top 10-15 yes.
this is not top 10-15 performance tho the top 10 characters while yes they can die don’t actively weaken and bring down the team with their horrible restrictions

Kid Gohan from 8th Anniversary I think was under rated when he came out. This unit is busted. Under rated now means a unit many people didn't summon according to Dokkan community, not necessarily power level or useability
I think the underrated notion for the gammas comes from the fact that they are the worst of the 4 anniversary LRs. However, they are still within that top 5/top 10 range. Being 6th best unit in the game or whatever, is not throwing shade at the gammas, it’s just that the list for best characters in Dokkan is extremely competitive (outside of #1 because obviously Beast Gohan).

26:00 no idea why people hate on OP nowadays, I still run him when I can. Anytime I see him on the roster, as long as I know I can get his intro up, I will almost always run him, the only exception is super heroes against specific fights. Even then, I tend to run him against more than half of the bosses in the game even on super heroes despite the insanely op units you can use there.
I feel like people forget too that him being so strong at the start of the fight is omega-top tier on any team that ISNT super heroes, and post super he actually can tank 2 mil supers. I have had my piccolo do it, and he is 55%, without his below 30% passive up.
