My cousin and I was fishing for some catfish, we had very expensive equipments, a dude comes, breaks a long branch, asks us for a fishing hook, some lead weight, puts a earth worm in the hook and in no more than 5 minutes starts pulling catfish after catfish... We caught nothing and went home mad looking for excuses.
Should have asked him for tips.

The boat makes a lot of difference Tyler had to go back and forth for lure. Ya'll make it seem you can't enjoy fishing without spending upwards of $100
This is very true, if they had switched places (the cheap set gets the free boat and the expensive set goes on the ground) im very sure the competition would've been much more fair
This whole video seems bullshit just because of the boat tbh, I cant even find anything besides very bad inflatable boats on temu and they're nowhere close to that stern small boat the expensive set has which makes this comparison null
i got a stick, and some worms i dug, and a dead nub of stick as a bob, small washer off my truck as a sinker, and a safety pin. I do it to give the old guys at the lake a fit

That fish that weighed 3.13 was definitely accurate. That fish was not that big it had a big head but it was super super thin. Your eye gauge is off for sure. That fish was definitely about 3.13

I think it's nice to get an LGBTQ+ couple making fishing content together.
The way they look into each other's eyes so intensely, and say "toodle-oo" was just adorb.
Unpopular opinion maybe, but Temu has been awesome for fishing no gear. Cheap but strong braid, decent quality plastics especially for the price. I do saltwater ocean and have been out performing a lot of other people on the charters using these rinkydink equipments. But stay away from those Sougayjiang stuff, that stuff garbage compared to like Kast King which is a similar price point.
I still use my 20$ fly rod I got from Temu. Sure the 5/6 feels more like a 7wt, but it's still a smooth action. Best part is, if I break a tip, I just buy a new rod!

Both brands are available on Amazon too; both Chinese “junk.” Double check all the prices, I’ve seen some bad prices on temu. Have the time I keep scrolling through deals and end up not getting anything.

27:00 there is that black knob at the top of the reel that you need to turn right to make the reel more tight, and left to make other less tight. the reel isnt broken haha
The different colored tip is something you see on a lot of "beginner", usually cheaper rods (but some expensive ones have it too). It's supposed to make it easier to "see" your rod tip when holding it in front of you, or when laying it on a tripod or something.
The tip of it is lime green so that you could see if a fish is biting in the dark
right beneath the spinning part of the reel its a small switch. You can switch it side to side, if you want to enable the drag and spin in one direction or you want your reel to spin both ways, thats why you weren't able to reel...

went from a 40$ baitcaster combo to a 230$ abu garcia was definitely impressed with the differences. Further casting, better gearing, smoother, lighter. Sure you can use a cheap one and it will work, but its no where near as useful or durable.

Brother if you go fishing you choose the lures in order of what you want to catch or what fish is in the pond , in Murica you have much big predator fish but if you fish for small fish will be hard with some big one so no money can make difference the diference is on the size color and working in water , for me is never a choose by money
For really cheap just use a plastic bottle, but you have to hold it though you can't let it go and wait cause the fish might drag it, also, the bottle can be the reel and the rod itself, you just have to know how to use it, or just use a flimsy not too weak and thin wood

I think they should both be on a one wheel so it compares the rods more i feel like the kayak(dont know name) gives even more than a advantage
I just bought the exact same one as the 20$ but i got it with some bait and fishing line for less than 10$ in thailand gotta love thai shoping app

I wish more good fishing company's made cooler looking rods i love the look of st croix's mojo musky. Not that there's anything wrong with classic looks, i love a classic bass pro musky rod with a red ambassadeur slick as hell.

i have the same 15 dollar rod but for 10 bucks, its a full set with artificial baits ect.
