Such a shame that you have not provided a new watch review in quite some time. Without a doubt, you have the best assessments of watches, regardless of price!
Excellent review. The Explorer is way beyond my budget (and impossible to get), but a watch like this gives me hope for good quality with a similar look to the original.
Nice review its a stunning perfect grab and go …I am a fan of both cronos and san martin but prefer the cronos low key branding….I note your sotwc video and can relate to this …..the only swiss made watches i hold now are the original squale 30atmos with mercedes hands and an early CW trident GMT….i doubt i will ever buy another omega or rolex…..the quality coming out of china now is amazing….cronos….san martin….ironwatch and now baltany are really make watch fanatics like myself think much harder about the next addition to the collection….i think this piece may join it…great review once again
This appears to be a nice compromise to the Rolie, they are hard to get. Your reviews are stellar. I remember in one of your reviews you sold your Rolex and "banked the money," always a smart move especially in this global economic down turn. I have a piece with the older 8125 movement which was considerably more expensive in a 1970s reissue. It is not a bad movement , if one knows what they are getting into. Yes the rotor is rather noisy if you are constantly twirling your wrist, say when brushing your teeth. Otherwise it is not too overpowering. My question is: is there a credible alternative to the bracelet for those who do not fancy the current bracelet, or perhaps a leather band of sorts? Many thanks for your hard work and love of watches. Kind regards!
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoy my content. Yes, the 8215 is very durable. There isn't an alternative bracelet available that will fit the case correctly. Regards, #WR4K
Personally I prefer a crystal similar to that on the SN-020 or the AD2112, but this bevel is intriguing. It’s good to know that they are using a 8215 with hacking. Lume is good, build quality is good. But too bad they don’t include enough links to fit a larger wrist like yours, also that they don’t use their glidelock clasp. Case shape looks good tho! I agree on the movemet. Overall, the AD2112 uses a NH38 and costs less, but Cronos' dial design is superior. This with a glidelock clasp and the miyota 9015… Thanks for the review! It was rather enjoyable.
Cronus in my opinion are on San Martin level with QC and finishing ,i just feel that the movement lets it down a little, i agree NH35 would be a better choice .Great review as usual thank you.
I do love the look of this watch and the watch to which it pays tribute. That said, and since it already has the mechanics for it, I would _love_ a date window option.
Everything looks good except for the hands. The minute hand is slightly too long and the hour hand slightly too short. I like the clasp length. Not a big fan of the long clasp. Some branding on the clasp would definitely be better. Very nice and thorough review.
I purchased the blue version seen in this video. This is amazing fit and finish for the money. I am highly unlikely to purchase the Rolex, this watch is their design and all credit goes to them. I could have purchased the 36 mm in the early 2000's for around 4500.00, I wish that I had. I appreciate what Cronos has accomplished, I am not sure that I will bond with this one.
John I actually loved the Kronos blue homage you had. You said in one video you were going to maybe get rid of it in place for this watch. Do you now have both blue watches and which one do you like better. I think I like the Kronos one better
Great review. How is the accuracy in real life? Potentially gaining nearly 5 minutes in a week (+40 secs/day) would be annoying, I' wondering if it's much better in reality.
I’m going to put the new SanMartin clasp with the on the fly adjustment on every Ali Express watch that is 16mm at the clasp. I hate the easy link system.
Would you recommend this watch or the Pagani Design PD1692 V2? My biggest issue with many explorer homage's is the distance between the crystal and the watch face, the cronos looks to have a shorter distance. Love all the content you've created!
I’ll second that. The L6016 is a much sleeker and finer (and close to the original) watch. The pagani feels clunky and out of proportion in comparison. The bezel is really thick and also high up from the dial. In addition the case is also thicker. Only thing negative about the cronos is the signature.
Hi there. Is it better in terms of quality than the Pagani version of this homage? I mean of course it costs more but to me they almost look identical. Thanks!
But the question is if they used a Swiss movement and used a better bracelet with a 5 year warranty would you pay the 700 dollars they would need to offer all that.
Thank you for another top-notch informative video. How similar would you say this Cronos blue coloring is to the blue of the discontinued 36mm 3-6-9 dial Rolex OP?
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. This dial is matte Traffic Blue. The Oyster Perpetual has a Navy blue sunburst dial which is darker. Regards, #WR4K
Pt5000 or nh38 and I would buy it directly. Problems with thickness? Miyota 9015 then. No problem.. but not those cheap movements. Whats next .. a DG 2813? No. Thats not Cronos which is even selling SW200 Sellitas
Thank you for watching. I have a policy of only giving my opinion on watches I have handled. I asked Tisell to send me one for review, unfortunately they didn't reply. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k So i own the Tisell but im thinking of getting the Cronos because of the Tisell endlinks and lugholes are terrible, however is it possible to mod and put my Tisell 90S5 movement into the Cronos you think?
The 90S5 has different dimensions to the 8215 (although they are both 26mm diameter), therefore they aren't interchangeable. The 90S5 is interchangeable with the 9029. The main difference is the 9029 has 2 hands. Regards, #WR4K
Would a Barton Elite Silicone watch band work on this watch? I heard the lug pin location may be too close to the case, and something about curved lug pins.

ome of the things that I like Cronos over San Martin is the "cronos" branding on the dial, very discreet like "rolex"
Why a longer clasp? A Rolex Explorer has a short clasp and it is absolute perfection. Beautiful watch and great review 👍🏻 keep up the good content!
