    3 new stand-alone conferences - West, Central and East, just like the NFL. Single commissioner with subcommittee on various issues including athlete compensation, injury, officiating, etc. Same seeding as the current CFB.
    Love the show. What a great “get” having Sankey on-even though he manages to provide zero concrete answers. Which says it all when you think about it.

    The NCAA either reforms it all, it dissolves as an entity and do what this guy is suggesting, by letting the individual conferences do their own thing. But THAT would be chaotic.

    To be fair, whats to stop a new governing entity from becoming just like the old governing entity?

      Players get paid now and conference has a bigger media deal. Everybody wins. Capitalism.

      @GladiusFootball You obviously show your myopic ignorance by referring to Capitalism as if it's some simplistic idea or notion to be understood as simple "money making" or "financial utilitarianism." Capitalism has never been defined or comprehended at some rudimentary level and, it's even more complicated now with the rapid advancements of technology, which is why new terms such as "Late Capitalism," "Hyper-Capitalism," "Postmodernity," or "Neoliberalism" have arisen.

    Can't be bothered to actually listen to this whole thing- all I know is nothing will be done about NIL and nothing can be done. Not a goddamn thing

      Step one is on the way: classify the collegent athletes as employees of the university.
      Step two would be unionizing.
      Step three would need to be a collective of universities that are granted anti-combines exemption from congress.
      Step four, collective bargaining.
      Not quite Hell freezing over, but a lot of pockets to get greased.
      Or, arms length entities are created using the Universities' copyright and trademarks. Then refer back to steps 1 thru 4.

      I do hope you realize, you are the biggest part of the problem. “I can’t be bothered to listen”. Congrats. 🎉. You’re close minded and that is the biggest problem we face today, not just in college athletics, not even just as this nation. But as a world in the whole. Too many people refuse to even listen to what others say, and in the instances that they do, most don’t listen to understand. They listen solely to know what garbage they can spew back out in response.

    Abolish the NCAA. Get Private Equity to front the cash if cant work a new media deal with revenue share. Sankey and Saban will help lead the way to next era of CFB

    • @lnss8775
      @lnss8775 Месяц назад

      The NCAA will probably never be abolished n it has nothing to do with football. March Madness is a billion dollar money machine n the NCAA won't lose their grip on that

    • @GladiusFootball
      @GladiusFootball Месяц назад

      @@lnss8775 it's a separate TV deal, March Madness vs CFP. In fact, NCAA doesn't even run the CFP. Separate entity. Nowhere in any contract does it require a player to attend class. Tell me why an 18 yr old making $1m / yr needs to attend class? Can earn credits during summer school or after playing career
