@@AndrewJackson-j5l, Comrade Stalin? I may be sympathetic to some of the ideas of Democratic Socialism, but I'm hardly a Stalinist. No, governments don't always do what is best for their constituents, but they're the best we have so far at maintaining any type of cohesive social structure. No country can operate without a formalized government. And trust me, sugar bear, you wouldn't want to live in a country that functioned as an actual JW theocracy ruled by the Watch Tower Society either. In such a country, the Governing Body probably wouldn't hesitate to have any Witness imprisoned, executed or exiled for the slightest infraction of their rules--and there wouldn't be a thing that anyone could do about it. Women and LGBT folk probably wouldn't have any civil rights at all (much less any other historically disenfranchised group). You'd probably have to work long hours for so little pay (much like the hardworking Bethelites who work their fingers to the bone for the Society every day). We apostates wouldn't have the chance to even live and would probably be killed almost immediately. Religious freedom would be outlawed entirely for lifelong non-Witnesses. As for the Witnesses who aren't already leading lives of great privilege, well, they would likely be totally screwed. Yikes! That really would be like a George Orwell novel come to life., and I've never even read any of his works.
I agree. They do truly believe what they preach. Problem is, those who question or may wish to investigate other religions and voluntarily leave are SHUNNED and made an OUTCAST for life. They're handling of matters is deeply inhumane.
"They're" is a contraction of "they are', as in "they're working". "There" denotes a place, as in "over there" or "in there". "Their" is a possessive form of "them", as in "their home".
All this emotion, all this drama...you bet it's evangelical. Once upon a time, JWs used to present themselves as an EDUCATIONAL organization (as I recall in Mexico, at least in the past, they HAD to register as educational and not religious because of the Catholic church). In any case, they sure have strayed far afield, from "preaching and teaching" to non-stop maximum distracting.
@kevink2593, "Educational". Punishing people for questioning religious doctrinal concepts is hardly educational. Education is supposed to get you to think and ask hard questions--questions that should be up for debate. JWs and Evangelical Christians have more in common than they think they do.
@@B.W-k8k Be certain, the "education" consists of free indoctrination; Witnesses are strongly discouraged from independent Bible study without the "help" of Watchtower Society books and magazines. With the JW GB, there is no doubt, no debate, only obedience, with any resistance met by accusations of apostasy and the certainty of expulsion.
Glossing over big problems is like putting a bandage on a festering wound without first treating the infection that is causing the festering. The Watchtower Society's Governing Body is glossing over big problems without first trying to identify and find the causes of the problems.
One of my favorite comments at a meeting… “During the holocaust Goeberls actually admired the Jehovah’s Witnesses because they never gave up”. Yeah that was said by an elder🤬
Witnesses have been in India well over one hundred years. Yet, your chance of being personally contacted by a JW in that country is minuscule given the more than one billion in the population whereas active JWs number are far fewer than 60,000.
@cpepservices1, I think in Sri Lanka only one out of every 500,000 people identifies as a JW, so you're highly unlikely to ever encounter a JW if you live in that particular country.

At first I thought the white flying creatures were big white birds. I missed that this was depicting angels. Silly me. Of course they are angels. Pitifully no evidence these big useless Kenny Rofers help in any way at all - apart from hovering overhead menacingly as JWs actively preach. BTW, the video falsely depicts JWs as actively spreading their propaganda, whereas we know their passivity in standing by their literature carts is legendary. If they do reach out, it’s to each other, as they simply ignore passers-by.
I've watched "THE PHOTO DRAMA OF CREATION", which we see featured in this music video, all the way through--viewing it in installments over a period of time, of course, because it is so damn long--and let me tell you this: the re-enactment of the Bible stories it features are TERRIBLE. They're incredibly boring and have so little dialogue spoken by the characters through title cards. It's interesting overall if you wish to understand the history surrounding the International Bible Students' theology at that particular time. It was largely used as no more than an evangelism tool. It's a bit spooky hearing Charles Taze Russell's voice though.
Have who ever wrote the Lyrics and came up with the music can´t have comunicated. a text that any moron can remember. but the tone is a bit high for most or is practising a in a choir a big part of being in JW.
Right?! What!?! Goes against everything I was taught as a born-in and feels totally born again evangelical. It is truly hard to distinguish JW from any other religion and that was not the case when I was a young girl.
Any other ex jws find the cult propaganda weirdly soothing? It makes it even more disturbing somehow. Some of it recently is just too cringey, but occasionally a video will tickle my brain in a way that's almost nostalgic. The music especially.
I'm not getting that feeling. Maybe it has to do with how long you're out. I really can't reflect on any of it with fondness, even the time I spent with friends. Knowing now how quickly they abandoned me, twice, because I was DFd on two occasions, just tells me how much of an acquaintance of convenience I ever was.

@cl509, No, but Hayden Covington, the Society's lawyer, also worked as a lawyer for Muhammad Ali. Dwight Eisenhower who was raised as an International Bible Student by his mother but was never baptized as an official member of the denomination and actively quit practicing the faith (likely during his teenage years), eventually became president of the United States. I think there was an Australian politician who was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, that was elected to office, but he wasn't baptized as a formal member of the denomination, but he also did not completely reject all belief in the faith either.

BROTHERMAN, FIRST OF ALL, AFTER ALL YOUR NONSENSICAL RAMBLINGS ABOUT 1914, this and 1914 that, and 1925 this and 1925, that, have you ever read Habakkuk 2 v 3? It says, FOR THE VISION IS YET FOR AN APOINTED TIME, BUT AT THE END IT WILL SPEAK AND IT WILL NOT LIE. EVEN IF IT SHOULD DELAY, KEEP IN EXPECTATIONS OF IT, FOR IT WILL WITHOUT FAIL COME TRUE. ( EVEN if it should delay, keep in EXPECTATIONS OF it) Clearly you don't believe in God that he knows how to get things done. Do you know that while Fidel Castro was alive and ruling, there were still actually over 100,000 JEHOVAH WITNESSES in Cuba? If you throw a couple of bunnies in the bushes, before you know it, there are thousands of bunnies running around in the bushes. In 2018 the Russians seized all the Kingdom halls and branch offices in Russia, so do you think there are less Jehovah witnesses in Russia now than there were in 2018? NOT BY A LONG SHOT. You just can not stop JEHOVAH ORGANISATION. ( Acts 5 v 38 and 39) EVEN if the good news Don't reach to everyone in North Korea, that is where the Melenial rule come in. YOU AND SATAN, AND ALL HIS HUMAN SERPENTS ON RUclips WIL BE BOUNDED AND THROWN IN A BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR A THOUSAND YEARS, SO YOU CAN NO LONGER DECEIVE THE WORLD.
@archieliburd3794, No, I don't believe in God, but I think he could come about with a better plan than the one JWs and most other Christians think he has in store. As for the Watch Tower Society's date setting for the Apocalypse concerning years 1914, 1925, 1975 etc., and what have you--that's the problem, babe. The Society kept predicting when they thought the end of the world would come, and when it did not, they would then blame the average JW for getting too excited about it. Well, who suggested that idea to them in the first place? And those suggestions affected the choices that real-life people made, that's not a small issue. These weren't dates that the average Witness came up and just ran with independently like some out-of-control conspiracy theory. So, what if there were more than 100,000 JWs in Cuba when Fidel Castro was still living? And so, what if there are more JWs in Russia despite their faith being banned (which I would agree is wrong)? The number of members a religion has does not say anything at all about the truth of any religion's theological claims. If that's the case, then the Roman Catholic Church must be the Biblical God's only true Church as Catholicism has over 1.028 billion baptized members worldwide. So, if most people in North Korea die when Armageddon comes, then that's okay because most of them will likely be resurrected before the Millennial Reign of Christ starts, right? What a way to value human life. If that's how you think, then please don't talk about how you believe human life to be "sacred" as a Jehovah's Witness because it seems to me that you don't even value human existence in this life regardless of whether or not there is an afterlife (and that's, frankly...well, disturbing). And no, it's only Satan and his demonic minions who are cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years during Christ's Millennial Reign before they are given the chance to test the resurrected persons to see if they will decide will him or God; then once that happens, Satan, his demons and those resurrected persons will all annihilated by God according to Witness theology. If you don't like the fact that people on the internet are able and allowed to critique your religion or anyone else's (though I doubt you care about that, not that you have to, of course), just as you can express disagreement with anyone else's religion (and we know that the Society does that plenty already through their denominational literature, though I don't take what they say about any other religion at face value, just like I wouldn't accept what they say about their own denomination's faith at face value either), then I guess the only thing to say to you is: you probably should consider the idea of not using the internet at all. Sometimes people are going to express ideas you don't agree with. That's called life, babe. How you respond to that conflict is, I think, what counts. And so far, at least with your above comment, you've really done nothing but make claims of an unfalsifiable impending apocalypse that no one can possibly verify outside of citing the Bible (which to me is not a credible source of evidence or authoritative) and your own say so, and making threats of divine punishment, which I hardly think is going to be persuasive to anyone.
@archieliburd3794, But to be fair and not to bite your head off too much, it sounds like you're at least willing (to some extent) to at least listen to the other side of the argument, and that's a good thing, even if you don't agree with what any of us apostates say. It shows that you're not willing to isolate yourself from others' ideas completely. As for the idea of being a human serpent (whatever that is), that would be kind of cool. I always wondered what it would be like to be a hybrid of a human and some non-human animal. I guess a mermaid doesn't count though.

Lost many "friends " and "family" because of this crazy religion.
it takes a while to get rid of the Mental propaganda they used for years,
The leader of north korea has free internet. his people do not. there is something that resembles the internet for a small group of people. but everything on it is controlled by the state.
Very triggering! But it tells about the lie!!! And what the truth is about the lies of the Governing Body! I fo not watch a lot of podcasts anymore, but yours are short and to the point! To be honest I moved the needle forwards to avoid most of the really untasteful song! There is a lot to say about 140million births each year, and a few thousand baptised each year with over 100,000 being disfellowshipped or just walking away!
Thank you ❤️
I hate when they bring their kids with them too.

All those people from black and white movies are gone now, but they expected to live forever after Armageddon that was just around the corner
@putnik805,
Probably so. And the same might happen for the Bethelites and other types of Witnesses who appear in the Society's videos in our present day.
Millions now living will NEVER DIE...Circa 1925? All gone now , yet they claim it was a NEW LIGHT doctrine,
Also why are black people NEVER portrayed in their old Bible videos and why are their angels and Jehovah himself depicted as white?😅😅
And why are their angels and Jehovah never depicted as women? This is misogynistic!
In almost every watchtower is a black man depicted. It is just a COLOUR!!! YOU ARE NOT THAT SPECIAL!
@@Queenolgi1,
If you're talking about the 144,000 anointed...well, if you didn't depict them in the Society's literature, then they probably would be misogynistic because some of them are allegedly supposed to be women.
@Spicychickenwing11,
Because we Black people are apparently cursed because of Ham for either having engaging in incest with or for having raped his father or for seeing daddy in the nude, don't you know. We haven't lightened in our skin tone enough yet. Even though many Black International Bible Students and Black Jehovah's Witnesses adhere to the Watch Tower Society's dogma as best they can...and they still haven't become fairer skinned. Apparently, they, and the rest of us, just can't make the grade apparently. Damn, and I always wanted to know if I would look like as a white woman with green eyes, freckles and long, flowing, freshly combed red hair.
No, but he's got a point. Why choose a European phenotype for spirit creatures? I've never thought of of the spirit realm that way, even when I was in. I would think of some transcendental humanoid entity, fat beyond anything that looks like us.

@@AndrewJackson-j5l,
Comrade Stalin?
Yikes! That really would be like a George Orwell novel come to life., and I've never even read any of his works.
the angel at the end is just to much how he’s flapping the wings is just so cheesy
Jehovahs Witnesses are not bad People they Seriously Believe in what they Preach they Just Don’t take Criticism or Accept That They Made Mistakes
@kevink2593,
"Educational".
My heart hurts for anyone that has to sit through this drivel, sincerely.
Good lord.
So triggering that I skipped past it to your comments. 🤣🤣
I couldn’t take it anymore
Glossing over big problems is like putting a bandage on a festering wound without first treating the infection that is causing the festering. The Watchtower Society's Governing Body is glossing over big problems without first trying to identify and find the causes of the problems.
Can we have access to that racist slide? Do you have it?

Witnesses have been in India well over one hundred years. Yet, your chance of being personally contacted by a JW in that country is minuscule given the more than one billion in the population whereas active JWs number are far fewer than 60,000.
@cpepservices1,
I think in Sri Lanka only one out of every 500,000 people identifies as a JW, so you're highly unlikely to ever encounter a JW if you live in that particular country.

Sitting through that singing was unbearable!!!
Oh, I don’t think angels really need to flap wings to move! Nor do I think they live on a cloud!
Wow! What really interested me among other things is the video of JW old peddlers of their old lies that have been discarded in these modern times.
Christ is born?! What?!
Right?! What!?! Goes against everything I was taught as a born-in and feels totally born again evangelical. It is truly hard to distinguish JW from any other religion and that was not the case when I was a young girl.
The music is rather more like 3rd rate Broadway production than like some mega church.

Question to Lloyd.....has a JW ever held a government poaition ...elected ? Despite their policy .
@cl509,
No, but Hayden Covington, the Society's lawyer, also worked as a lawyer for Muhammad Ali.

( EVEN if it should delay, keep in EXPECTATIONS OF it)
Clearly you don't believe in God that he knows how to get things done.
@@AndrewJackson-j5l,
And if they do get stumbled because of their sensitivity, well, isn't that more their issue to deal with, rather than yours?
@archieliburd3794,
No, I don't believe in God, but I think he could come about with a better plan than the one JWs and most other Christians think he has in store.
@archieliburd3794,
But to be fair and not to bite your head off too much, it sounds like you're at least willing (to some extent) to at least listen to the other side of the argument, and that's a good thing, even if you don't agree with what any of us apostates say. It shows that you're not willing to isolate yourself from others' ideas completely. As for the idea of being a human serpent (whatever that is), that would be kind of cool. I always wondered what it would be like to be a hybrid of a human and some non-human animal. I guess a mermaid doesn't count though.

I'm familiar with Geoffrey Jackson's testimony at the Australian Royal Commission and found it to be an evasive answer.
