      I honestly applaud you for trying to be neutral and giving him the benefit of the doubt. BUT, a wise man knows when to say i don't know. I don't agree with everything Obama did, but he did admit early that he knew not much and would surround himself with people to help him. When you have people (a country, a family, employees), a good leader should know when to say, "I need help to protect or take care of my people." We are all human, and we don't know everything. We have faults; nothing wrong wit that. BUT, so long as we refuse to admit our faults, we can never work on them, and as a consequence, those who love/support us, and those who dislike/oppose us, will suffer alike. That's where my issue is. Ya know?

That was qualification enough for them. And then he appointed a rag tag batch of unqualified people to run the rest of everything who had zero experience doing those jobs. You are witnessing what that looked like. It’s beyond pathetic, beyond embarrassing for this country. And those people who did this don’t even have the sense to understand that or be ashamed of what they have done. They put hate ahead of the safety and security of this nation. The rest of us have been trying to undo the damage that they’ve done, but they are absolute zealot cultists concerning Trump. When he said he could shoot someone and they would still support him-he wasn’t wrong. They are that far gone in morality.

    What's really scary and sad is that this guy knew months in advance that he would be testifying about his qualifications to be a lifetime federal judge and didn't even take any time to even brush up on anything his position would be involved in. It's scary because this man seems to be the type of person who couldn't be impartial and would certainly bring in his own biases into the courtroom eroding the foundation of our legal system. And he's not the only one. Once our courts have a political bias in any direction in lifetime positions, we know the end is coming. Soon we will be no better then the countries we make fun of for having backwards judicial systems.

      Democrats have a lot of material to run in 2018. Three failed attempts to overhaul healthcare, Betsy Devos hearings, the FBI investigation on Russia, the Senate investigation on Russia, the House investigation on Russia, the Special Counsel/Mueller investigation on Russia, the RNC and President endorsing credibly accused pedophile, net neutrality repeal on party lines, President's sexual assault accusers, 3 AM tweets, the fact he still hasn't released any substantial health documents or tax returns still, hugely inconsistent hurricane response between Texas/Florida and Puerto Rico, the fact that Puerto Rico is 100 days without power and death toll is still rising, many others plus this hearing.
      The problem for the Dems is that there's been too much crazy shit happening in government this year. Gonna be hard to narrow all this down in a 30 second ad. But if the special election in Alabama is any indication....

    • @theuglykwan
      @theuglykwan 6 лет назад +2

      Well to be fair, by your standard no one can be a judge. You need to be a judge to try a case. But if you have never tried a case you don't think they can be a judge.
      Also bear in mind Super Chief Justice Earl Warren was unanimously approved for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court without ever trying a case. He did have more experience in actual law as Attorney General of CA. But he was quite deficient legally and could not qualified to do his job initially. In spite of that he is remembered for some very famous rulings as he was a great politician so that allowed him to get unanimous opinions in some divisive cases and a keen sense of justice.
      I accept things were different back then and Earl Warren was going to be in some high office or other, hence Nixon wanted to confine him to the court.
      But more recently, Elena Kagan had never tried a case. Her experience was in academia and as solicitor general.
      This guy was just especially bad as he had neither much relevant experience nor did any basic preparation. Nor was he quick witted.

    This video is sad, and it’s funny to see Trumpists defending him by calling this bullying and fake news.
    How is this fake news? Did they edit it to make him say no when he was actually giving correct answers.
    The guy questioning him is a Republican senator, not a Democrat trying to pick on a Trump nominee. Maybe he actually wants to have good judges.

      Meanwhile have you seen the 60 records the stock market hit in the last 10 months? or the record low unemployment? How about the massive growth in GDP? Oh and the schools are doing better than ever before. So I can't help wonder what idiotic things you think are true when simple google searches will show everything I said is a fact.

    • @alexandergoldman
      @alexandergoldman 6 лет назад +40

      Michael Lederman...or what about the record run the stock markets have had from 2009 to 2016...or the recession bush left taking the unemployment to ABOVE 10 percent and obama took that down to below 5 percent. While I'm at it with what appears to be another ignorant repugnant...this ISIS problem...u know how it started? It started with bush invading Iraq looking for WMDs...but oooops nothing there. You know how much that is going to cost taxpayers? You're looking at likely 4 TRILLION dollars over the lifetime.
      So trump inherited a healthy economy and he's going to give himself and the rest of the corporations a massive tax break...good for them. Im due for a healthy tax break but its short term gain for long term pain. No wall that he campaigned on...repeal of obamacare a bust and ditto for this stupid muslim ban. So save your bullshit for someone else and dont be so fucking naive..

      He is a lawyer but never did litigation, he has overseen over 2,000 rulings. The congressman obviously asked very specific questions about procedures that he had not seen in his career and are not exactly complicated procedures that one could understand after a day's worth of reading. In other words it was a show by the congressman, it's like asking the president about how the local schoolboard procedures are to be handled, how should he know?
