That FC in the beginning is hands down the best sounding rotary setup I've ever heard. That is an addicting sound.
In fact there's lots of incredible sounds in this video. I'm not too surprised, being that Mazda is responsible for VRIS, one of the few functional resonance based tuning systems around.

Its a summary from the Swiss Hillclimb Championship. The Races are in Reitnau, Anzere, St-Ursanne, Massongex, Oberhallau, Gurnigel, Les Paccots and Hemberg.

I'm impressed. I love 240 S13, AE86 & miata NA. I have a crush on rotary engine and this one was realy fine tuned for the hill, it looks very fast.. Not as fast as those GT cars but still faster than most tuned cars on hillclimb videos
The rx7 was pure eargasm and the yellow 323 never seen them so modified like that before
I forgot how nice looking the FC RX-7 is. I almost bought a '87 turbo back in the day but bought a GSX-R 750 and Mustang GT instead. And I still had leftover change.
I had a '91 MX5 before I traded it for my '94 RX-7 and man was that little Miata a blast to drive. You feel like a hero going full blast from corner-to-corner without getting the feeling like the car wants to kill you. On the other hand, my RX-7 makes you think it's going to kill you, but having so much more braking and cornering power it's not as bad as you might think. Still, it's usually too damn powerful in the really tight stuff such as this. Not that I'm complaining. :-)

Miata sounds like the factory 1.8 and obviously has an itb set up and most likely and very nice porting job :)
Mate, it is still the original base engine, but strongly tuned by Roth Racing with is a specialized company for preparing hillclimb engines and cars. Maybe I will find out some details...

Lot's of highly modified cars have a front bumper like that. Specially rally or hillclimb cars. Old or new. It's not a "viper" look. I don't even understand how you could see that. You'd be surprised what that lip can do.
I wanna know more and see more of the FC at the beginning.
