The film is beautiful I saw it at the weekend and had to try and stop myself from screaming and crying in the theatre it's so heartbreaking and beautiful (I love Fantastic Beasts movies and everything about them) but in particular this pairing fascinates me and the opening scene I...I lost my mind. I can't wait until everyone has seen it and we get longer vids but I really enjoyed this, you captured their complex relationship so well

The scene at the beginning of the movie broke my heart. I wasn't ready for them to talk about their feelings. The emotions on the faces of Dumbledore and Grindelwald showed that they still had feelings for each other. Even Gellert's words, "Who will love you now, Dumbledore?" showed that they still love each other. Even Grindelwald loves Dumbledore.

I really liked the latest installment in the Fantastic beasts series. You give the character of Dumbledore a look the expresses a lot of tenderness, lover and melancoly. 💖 It's really a very beautiful character throug your eyes that we discover.
I read somewhere that Grindelwald lied to Voldemort about the elder wand (in the books at least) still to protect Dumbledore. Killing Grindelwald may have been the most humane thing Voldemort did, so he can be with Dumbledore after all

I agree. I love Dumbledore's story; his past and relationship with Grindelwald are truly painful and tragic. That's why I liked The Fantastic Beasts 3, and I think everyone should watch this movie.
They're both strong, just a little different. Dumbledore uses emotion, cleverness and negotiation, while Grindelwald uses strength, cunning and power. And all of these things are very important.
I agree, I think he allowed Albus to defeat him in his legendary duel because deep down he still loves him. Even at the end of his life he still covers for Albus and mocks Voldemort.
