I have the same model and it worked fine. Now, I have issue with 'non-Brother ink' display error which I bought in aftermarket. When I give print, the paper comes out blank. Any fix for this?
Sorry man, nothing comes to mind. By aftermarket, I assume you mean that brother has nothing to do with the company that made them. You have to keep going thru the Print Head Cleaning procedure until it prints properly. What the Starter Cartridges do is fill all the lines and the print head. Unlike older style printers where the ink cart sat directly on the head, these are mounted remotely and have little lines running to the heads. I had to run the strongest cleaning 4 times until my printer worked correctly. Then I had used 90% of my ink. But after that, everything is good.
It is absolutely INSANE that Brother designed this printer this way. Holy crap.

Perfect!!!! Thank you so much!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Mine is still showing as lacking ink and won't print after taping the 3 color cartridges with the black tape. I will be so happy if this works.

just glad i could help. couldn't find anything related to this issue online before i called customer support, figured I'd be the first to share the fix. Appreciate the comment, brother
Thanks for the video. I have a different model and the technique in the video doesn't work with this. The buttons are all touchscreen buttons.
MFC-J45100W
Me too, i have J480DW
@@MrKevinxavieriko I ended up calling brother and buying starter cartridges. The printer is working now
Thanks for response me!!
Did your screen let you navegate in the menu? In my case, only show me the message "install starter ink". I cant navigate, either turn off.
Did you only ask starter cartdriges for them? I ask it for them and they dont know too much...
sorry this method didnt work out for your model. ive heard how expensive cartridges can be, wish this method applied to all models. i guess its a good thing i specified the model, otherwise id be getting some negative feedback
@@MrKevinxavieriko I could not navigate from the "insert starter cartridge" screen. I specifically ordered starter cartridges.

I did this to reset the cadrages, did not work.
is your printer the exact same as the model demonstrated in this video?
yes it worked i was trying to reset the ink caldreges thats what did not work my ADHD PLAYS UP I GET MISUNDERSTOOD.
@@runneryg dont worry about it, got adhd too, i know how it goes. honestly, all i know how to do is whats shown in the video, which has to do with setting up this printer with cartridges that arent the starter ones. try calling brother support, they told me how to do this, i bet they can solve your problem as well
WHY IS MY BLACK INK COMING OUT AS GREEN IVE INSTALLED NEW CARTRIDGE
Idk try turning off all other colors besides black. This issue isn't what my video is about. Sorry I can't help
Best video mate 👌 thanks alot
Awesome .it worked...Thank you
