I actually got this movie and its sequel on DVD for Christmas last year. I only watched the first 50 minutes of the original and didn’t really understand it.
I know it's a classic, I've just not gotten the chance to watch through it all the way yet. Apparently the sequel isn't super great. Is the first movie the 1998 edition DVD or the 2011 edition?
Well, that's okay. Apparently the 1998 edition is certified, though due to its age and the film's general obscurity in terms of modern audiences, that's unconfirmed by video footage. I'd be surprised it wouldn't be since it's a George Lucas film, though we never *did* get a certified edition of Howard the Duck, now did we?
@@homevideogallery I've seen the DVD of American Graffiti myself, and I can confirm that it IS indeed certified. Although I only borrowed it from a library.
@@homevideogallery I don’t really know given that I’ve never actually seen Howard the Duck. What’s interesting though is that when THX 1138 came out on DVD in 2004, it was certified. However, the Blu-ray release from 2010, which is what I also got for Christmas last year, isn’t certified.
This movie cured my depression. *A LOT.*
This movie is going to be turning 50 coming up this year and it is going to be a rerelease with a brand new sound mix
*AND IT FUCKING RULES!!!!!*
Yup, the DVD opening I put today on my channel had geoblock, that's why I muted the movie before the beginning of the song in a new upload.

@@homevideogallery I’m not really sure which edition it is to be honest.

Say, who is the person doing the voiceover do this Universal Special Editions promo?
I have no idea, unfortunately.
Must be Stephen Furst, who played Flounder in Animal House.
