Edit : since few ppl kinda disagree, i mean u can hv yr own opinion..but for me, since debut till this year cb, gidle never disappoint w music versatility + concept + LIVE performance. From mushow to festival to queendom perf, they delivered every single time. I am not their fans but i love watching soojin fancam but since her departure, i thought gidle going to be weakened but nahhh theyre not bro! They improved very WELL and i hope they getting big and bigger!!!

this was their best performance on an award show after 2018 mma, they literally didnt let i-dle perform. as an example lion was a BOP! but since cube lacked on promoting it they didnt have chance to perform it like latata or tomboy. im so happy that i-dle girls are popular and having chance to show their talents and having big stages, THEY DESERVED

The intro with Minnie and Soyeon, 'Change' VCR version with Miyeon's acting and Minnie's dreamy voice and their facial expressions, Soyeon's rap, Yuqi playing the guitar, "I'M FUCKING TOMBOY" and Yuqi's "JUST ME IDLE", Shuhua's powerful solo part with her facial expressions and Miyeon ending the performance with throwing the lighter.

This girls are full of talents. I'm a new fan since Tomboy era and I must say they don't need any award to prove they are the best GG of their generation. I've been listening kpop since 2008 and there have been no other gg like them.
Love em, rly good, but to say they arent following in the footsteps of 2nd Gen Brown Eyed Girls and 3rd Gen Mamamoo would be to totally disregard those legacies.

This is why I love G-idle. They are different from the GG we used to have nowadays. They have put everything they are in their music. I am glad I stan them. I am inlove with the Yuqi playing the Electric guitar.
I’m 23 years old now, I used to consume a lot of 2nd generation kpop my favorite group was 2NE1 (discovered the girls in 2010), my bias CL. the years been passed and now i don’t listen to kpop anymore (sometimes blackpink) but watching to this perfomance of these girls i really felt the amazing good old times like was used to be. they are fire! hands down!

Exactly! we aren't saying love dive isn't great. But as much as Tomboy? And Nxde? NO. Like neither IVE or Lim Young woo dominated charts and went viral as much as I-DLE did this year. This year I-DLE completely served us with back to back hits. Starship and Kakao for sure rigged/manipulated the award just like they always do for ive.
And like that rookie award they won, yeah they deserve that for sure. But SOTY? When tomboy exists??! No way it's not rigged.

This is officially my favorite stage comeback. The opera part with the lady is so rare in kpop and so creative. And I loved when yuqi rocked it out! And can't forget about shuhua's part(the lalala) it was amazing!

The opera part is Habanera from Bizet's Carmen. Carmen was a strong, independent heroine, which was controversial at the time, and kinda fits with the modern Idle concept.

Because mma is under kakao and starship. That's why Ive got all the prizes.
I wanted them to win too because they managed to come back stronger this 2022 after being in hiatus for more than a year; however, they only had 2 comebacks this year and Nxde was just released a month before the MMA votings started while the winner had 3 successful title tracks this year.
Tomboy could’ve won SOTY tho if not only for the votings.
