My hair density, texture and length is the exact same as yours. You're about 2 months ahead of me. I just found your page and appreciate your content. Glad to see someone with similar SLs because it's definitely a different experience than those with 500-600 lock density!

@@AjTruthTvI do about 8-10 flat twists and I roll the ends with sponge rollers. It gives a crinkly look but stretched.

Yes. try them! I need some new styles myself. lol
You make the ponytails looks so easy. I tried and it felt like it would be too much tension even though I put the tie around just once. Just me being nervous because my hair is thin and don't want my locs to pop, but I love the options you showed.
What you want to do then is get the jumbo scrunchies/hair ties or the regular ones and stretch them out then. I find that stretching them out or getting larger ones helps with the tension. I have been using the same 5 silk scrunchies for over a year now. I throw them in the washing machine and air dry them whenever I wash my hair. They are pretty loose now.

Have you learned to style w/o hair ties or ponytail elastics? I wrap a loc around & tuck. Your hair is beautiful! I've had my sistaloc's since 2004.
I’ll probably do that when my hair is more mature and longer. I’m about 9 months locked and my interlock pattern is still quite visible. Lol. I’m trying to stop stretching my hair so much.

U see when u do its so easy but my hair thick so i does sruggle to do my sister locs
you should try loc spirals or spiral ties. they are wires covered in fabric. much easier for people with thicker hair to use.

My locs are young and stretched out in this video. I have lots of shrinkage and it’s unavoidable.

What type of bands do you use on your hair?
Whatever black rubber bands they have at the beauty supply store. Look for the ones that say they don’t get caught or easy glide or something like that.

It was 10” in the back & 12” in the front when my sister locks were installed. 😊

Not really. Lol. The way my hair line is set up, laying my “baby hairs” never gave what it was supposed to give. Lol. If I do anything with them now, it’s with some water. Lol
