I honestly think that Brittany only acts dumb because 1: she once created a good and elaborate paintball plan, 2: she did well enough to graduate high school, and 3: she did well enough to go to college.
She's not smart, but she isn't stupid. Like, she's definitely smarter than Kevin; Kevin pretty much has a football for a brain and she knows what makes him tick and he just kind of either goes along with it or is completely oblivious. And she's a lot less shallow than Quinn since she's self aware that she IS shallow.
