Thank you! They do don’t they - the leaf shape and variety is fantastic. Just watch your fingers on the stem haha! Favourites for me so far is the fatsiodes and dumicola
Hi, You've got some beautiful plants. Glad you managed to purchase some from the plant fare. I've never heard of them but that's how I learn from you gents/ladies who are interested in these tropical plants. Thanks for posting and keep up with the great work 🌱🪴🌴
Thanks for the interest Julie! It was a bit of a trek!! 10 hours in the car in total. I was surprised at how manic the start was to be honest but happy with what I was able to grab. A lot of new additions for the garden 👍👍
10hours drive, omg you are a die hard tropical plant addict. I admire your determination. Thankyou for your support as I'm still learning. I purchased a TRex and the slugs are eating it. Ive put coir matting around the stem to stop them but they are still eating the leaves. Should I dig it up and put in a pot or leave it to grow taller then eventually they may leave it alone. 🌴🪴🌱
@@juliebrace8637 probably a bit mad!! I’d probably leave it where it is at the moment. It may be worth going out there on the evening/early morning if you can and picking the things off manually. It should grow pretty quickly and overcome any slug damage. The other option is set up a couple of beer traps around the garden and that may help catch some of them!! They are frustrating!
FWIW Garden Angel is hardy here in north Kent, I took leaf cuttings just in case but they get through winter no problem under a bit of cover from Chamaerops palms.
@@TropicalGardenUK That should work but I just pushed the stalk into a pot of compost, it rooted and a new plant grew. Apparently if you cut the leaf veins and pin the leaf down to the surface of a pot of compost Begonias will grow new plants from the cuts so you should get more than one new plant per leaf, I'm going to try it and see.
Fantastic haul well done! I need some of these in my garden! Brassiopsis just look incredible.

Can’t wait to see how the begonia grows
Thanks me too 👍👍
Great haul
Thanks for watching 👍 I probably should have limited myself haha
@@TropicalGardenUK you did right, proper dedicated driving all that way. Respect.
@@Yellowbellytropics haha thanks. My mates say mental rather than dedicated 😂 but what do they know 😂😂

Ahh great news! Hopefully that’s the case here up in the midlands also! Do you just drop it in some water to root?
