Hey Derek, I just mean that you can continue playing the chorus to songs people love to sing rather than end a tune. If a song you are playing is working for your crowd I say prolong it, repeat a verse or repeat the chorus is all. I hope this helps, keep that party going at all costs!! Thanx and take care

A light pic is always a good thing but also a light strum is crucial to the sound, no need to bang the strings too hard, let them do the work. Good luck!!
I have a three sided medium Martin pick. I can use less of the tip and more of the edge between the tips to get a whole wide range of volume and tones. Light pick otherwise but I find it a bit “flappy” and enjoy the precise pick of a firmer pick. My 2cents.
