  • As it's April Fools Day, we thought we'd share a special edition of our West End vs Broadway series with you, showcasing perhaps the most foolish of plays to have ever (dis)graced the stages of London and New York. Of course, we're referring to the crown jewel of the Mischief catalogue, The Play That Goes Wrong.
The West End production has been running at the Duchess Theatre since autumn 2014, whilst the New York staging debuted on Broadway in 2017 before transferring to Off-Broadway's New World Stages in 2019. And... astonishingly... they're still running today! Something must clearly be going right!
The WhatsOnStage, Olivier and Tony Award-winning piece, which follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society's hapless and hazardous efforts to stage The Murder at Haversham Manor, is represented in our series by Mikhail Sen and Chris Lanceley, who portray "director" Chris Bean in London and New York respectively, alongside a special appearance by Storm the Cat. Because... well, why not?
    Enjoy!
