I'm graduating and getting my Architecture degree this month. Seeing that Tadao Ando built an expansion onto the original Nintendo headquarters is AWESOME. He's super famous and I've studied him in school throughout the years. HE used to be a professional boxer too actually 😅
Once again I am deeply grateful for RUclipsrs who make April Fools videos that are legit videos that are either just slightly silly or have a clickbait title, but aren’t completely useless or incomprehensible or a 2 second joke stretched to monetization length. This was dope
The hotel manager deserves a raise. You can tell he's passionate about what he does. Seems like a cool dude. Also, I love the idea of a bar at a hotel that the guests can freely use to make their own cocktails.
@@OmniMonitor Right, that's a pretty good price for a good room + open bar + three multi-course meals per day. It's not uncommon for a basic hotel room to be more than half that price in the US.
The 4’33” switch eshop music joke nearly made me spit out my coffee, took me a second 😅 The sheer amount of beautiful woodwork, brickwork, and glasswork in that building is just lovely.
4:25 Sorry to break it to you, but that piece has been in circulation for over a decade now, way before Lego acquired the Nintendo license. It does appear in a lot of sets in the Mario line, but that's because it is such a frequently used piece in every line. I strongly doubt that this piece was used because of it's relation to the Mario line, it is more likely because that is the only real textured brick piece Lego offers and it is a part that is very easy to find large quantities of.
Is the dude who visited the hotel with you the one who translated the McDonalds training game on-stream with you during your initial play-through? His voice sounds super familiar

As an amateur film photographer, I've never really seen the appeal of those half-frame cameras. This video however convinced me to try one. (I usually lug around 70s SLR or older TLR stuff)
I feel like i spoke this video into existence. About 2 hours before this video was posted i told my friend how Nick puts a video out about every 3 months and we were due for one any day now. Now here it is
I'm a competitive Splatoon player in the states and hearing Splatoon 3 mentioned in this video and them mentioning how popular it is in their country is amazing. Japan has a massive scene for Splatoon and I only wish we had it like that here in the US. It's such a wonderful game and to know it can be so big in their country that its the first thing they mention. not pokemon, not mario, but splatoon.
I love what the new owners are doing with the property. I'm glad they are leaning into the history and keeping a lot of the original construction intact. Very cool!
Did you leave one of the Gameboy Micros in the museum? I find it really cool when people donate something valuable to a museum so it could be displayed to everyone, it's something I wish to do one day. ❤
The fact that this guy copied Mr. Beast's thumbnail style but this video is surprisingly good and not a April Fools video. Nice difference compared to his previous video about a GameBoy theft
I had a gameboy micro when I was 3! I had it up until I was about 7, where I lost it. When I was 21 my dad found it in our old livingroom couch as he was tearing it up to throw away. It still had a charge and still works. I have it still today.
@allyrose6437 I tore up our entire HOUSE looking for that thing when I was a kid. I figured I'd just left it in a cabin after a family trip, but thought I was going crazy because I remembered playing with it when we got back. I looked for a week. Genuinely every few years I'd think about it up until he found it. I was in a state of shock for at least an hour.
Hey Nick! Try changing the thumbnail to you beside Mario in the jail cell from super Mario sunshine. It will be far more clickable. This is a fun video that needs to be shared and seen by more people
6:43 Actually, the switch was supposed to have eShop music.... And a pre-launch version of the Switch eShop had it. Their are youtube videos of it if you look....
It’s so rare and cool to see a RUclipsr that spends months working on each video and cares about their quality. When you die, you’re pretty much forgotten, but the art you leave behind can live forever.
Another fun fact about Nintendo is that it was also established on the year the Eiffel Tower was built and Clemson University was established on that year as well.
You really gotta appreciate how Japanese culture promotes preservation of history and honoring the past. Something like this would've likely not existed if the Nintendo HQ was in any other country.

TODAY I FOUND NINTENDO'S OLD HQ and so in search of answers and some sort of resolution, I booked a flight to japan and stayed in it
For anyone wondering, this place costs about $688 USD per night.
Well, that explains that. Thank you!
Every time he said "this and this is free with the room" I'm like... it's not *free*, but it's included in the steep price.
I thought it be more with everything they offer at no extra cost.
