can't believe nintendo got back in the hotel business
LOL
hotel mario 2 advanced adventure dx
ooohh nnoooo
Let's go
Too bad the new beds don't vibrate like the old ones. I miss the old Nintendo!
“Nintendo was founded in 1889 making playing cards. Coca-Cola was founded in 1892. Dracula was published in 1897 and was set in the same time. You could have a Dracula adaptation where Dracula drinks a Coke and plays Nintendo and it would be historically accurate.”
Nosferatu playing Hanafuda sounds like a Pictionary prompt
I think 1476, the year Dracula(Vlad the Impaler) died is a bit early for that
Where is that from?
Thank you for using your brain for this
@@Periwinkleaccount Google. Wikipedia. Literally millions of sources that agree this is true.
Let me guess… you booked a flight to Japan
but this time... someone else booked the invite to japan
You can book a flight to my house
...in search of answers
good guess
Actually so mad he didn't say the line
that thumbail + it being april fools + it technically being correct makes this the best kind of video
Also looks like bootleg mrbeast thumbnail
@@someonecalledeulogio2280pretty sure that’s the point haha
@@someonecalledeulogio2280
Really? I thought it looked like the thumbnail to a true crime documentary
Thanks for spoiling the joke I may be stupid enough to fall for an April fools joke but I know how to read
was this a futurama reference lol
Fun fact: Nintendo was founded during the Meji period which is canonically the same time period that the Pokeball was invented. Still wonder if that was intentional
I bet it was. I didn't know that. Thanks.
Wasn't it the capsule monsters then
Nintendo going back in time for proper lore
Might be a coincidence but that's a nice detail!
The events in Legends Arceus roughly correspond with the colonization of Ezo in 1869 (Jubilife Village was only established 2 years prior to the events of the game, which would line up with the final years of the Edo period when Sapporo village was being settled), which was 20 years before the founding of Nintendo.
i've never heard of michael binboww, but i have been to this parking lot in my dreams. i have many nightmares in this place. rain, and violence of dogs
good bye
the new silent hill game is sounding good
What?
Michaelsoft Binbows?

I'm graduating and getting my Architecture degree this month. Seeing that Tadao Ando built an expansion onto the original Nintendo headquarters is AWESOME. He's super famous and I've studied him in school throughout the years. HE used to be a professional boxer too actually 😅
That shocked me as well as an architect and I love Ando's work. This should have been on some of the big arch news sites like wtf.
Once again I am deeply grateful for RUclipsrs who make April Fools videos that are legit videos that are either just slightly silly or have a clickbait title, but aren’t completely useless or incomprehensible or a 2 second joke stretched to monetization length. This was dope
The hotel manager deserves a raise. You can tell he's passionate about what he does. Seems like a cool dude. Also, I love the idea of a bar at a hotel that the guests can freely use to make their own cocktails.
I spent 12 hours TRAPPED on a FLYING MACHINE directed straight at Kyoto, Japan
I usually don't care about luxury hotels BUT OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE. The level of dedication, thought and love that was put into this is great!
TODAY I FOUND NINTENDO'S OLD HQ and so in search of answers and some sort of resolution, I booked a flight to japan and stayed in it
For anyone wondering, this place costs about $688 USD per night.
Well, that explains that. Thank you!
Every time he said "this and this is free with the room" I'm like... it's not *free*, but it's included in the steep price.
I thought it be more with everything they offer at no extra cost.
Oh... that's why the food was "for free"
@@OmniMonitor Right, that's a pretty good price for a good room + open bar + three multi-course meals per day. It's not uncommon for a basic hotel room to be more than half that price in the US.
The 4’33” switch eshop music joke nearly made me spit out my coffee, took me a second 😅
The sheer amount of beautiful woodwork, brickwork, and glasswork in that building is just lovely.
The clickbait is insane and I love it lmao
definitely had me there
20:34 the split frame where he is with patrick Harlan and Brian Matt is a deep Nick Robinson lore cut
*20:34 but yes, very much!
The joeyy appearance is crazy
the implications for the culture are mad
Most unexpected thing i’ve ever seen
What's his channel name?
@@MetroAndroid just search joeyy

I'm enjoying how Mr. Beast is getting more into obscure and JP game content.
?
My favourite fact about Nintendo is that Van Gogh died a year after Nintendo was formed.
4:25 Sorry to break it to you, but that piece has been in circulation for over a decade now, way before Lego acquired the Nintendo license. It does appear in a lot of sets in the Mario line, but that's because it is such a frequently used piece in every line. I strongly doubt that this piece was used because of it's relation to the Mario line, it is more likely because that is the only real textured brick piece Lego offers and it is a part that is very easy to find large quantities of.
He literally asked the question so you’re not really breaking it to him.
This dude is also addicted to Balatro. I immediately recognized it lol
Given Nintendo’s playing card history, it’s very fitting.
Right 😂 I was so confused
Balatro theme is just so good.
Is the dude who visited the hotel with you the one who translated the McDonalds training game on-stream with you during your initial play-through? His voice sounds super familiar
9/10 thumbnail for recreating the mrbeast template, you just forgot to whiten your teeth and schlera to a terrifying degree
5:29 "That makes this building the most historically significant out of them, which is appropriate, because it's the one they've MODIFIED-"
Me: 😨😨😱
"- the least"

YESSS A NEW NICK ROBINSON VID IS OUT! Pls never quiit, u produe some of my favourite media of all time.
Nick’s enthusiasm for gaming history is so relatable! Staying at this hotel would be a blast.
I did NOT expect a John Cage reference in a Nick Robinson video but I am absolutely here for it.
Patrick and Brian's cameo at the end is crazy, good to see them again
Balatro OST in the house that Hanafuda built is very fitting
0:07 bro who deepfried the switch 😭

Nick buying a ticket to Japan in order to make an April Fool's joke (the April Fool's joke will become just as popular as his normal works):
As an amateur film photographer, I've never really seen the appeal of those half-frame cameras. This video however convinced me to try one. (I usually lug around 70s SLR or older TLR stuff)
“And so I booked a flight to Japan in search for answers” type ahh video
Only in your channel we can find such precious things. Nice idea, congratulations to the people that made this.
I know right? Joey's parents must be so proud of their creation.
I love what the new owners are doing with the property. I'm glad they are leaning into the history and keeping a lot of the original construction intact. Very cool!
"Where I briefly ran into joeyy"...what?
The john cage joke at 6:43 IS SO FUNNY AND UNDERATED on my goodness
Somebody update the "nick's trips to Japan" counter
I was playing Balatro with the sound off while watching this, heard the music come on, and my brain short-circuited for a second
I feel like i spoke this video into existence. About 2 hours before this video was posted i told my friend how Nick puts a video out about every 3 months and we were due for one any day now. Now here it is
I'm a competitive Splatoon player in the states and hearing Splatoon 3 mentioned in this video and them mentioning how popular it is in their country is amazing. Japan has a massive scene for Splatoon and I only wish we had it like that here in the US. It's such a wonderful game and to know it can be so big in their country that its the first thing they mention. not pokemon, not mario, but splatoon.
Takuji is a mad lad.
This showed up as "og video" for like a second in my notification
I got both
same
I miss "og upload" 😔
Using Balatro music is a great touch because of the card game history.
God! I hate being disabled and poor but seeing this brought a smile to my face!
You are so fortunate and also deserving of such awesome experiences!
The mr beast thumbnail is so class honestly. Amazing job man!
Nick meeting Joeyy randomly was so unexpected 😭😭
i was not expecting a Joeyy cameo 💀💀
Did you leave one of the Gameboy Micros in the museum? I find it really cool when people donate something valuable to a museum so it could be displayed to everyone, it's something I wish to do one day. ❤
The host/guide was so lovely!
I was trapped in Nintendo’s abandoned HQ. Desperate for answers, I booked a flight to Japan
Since what happened with the DS, it looks like Nick is starting to like breaking in houses and buildings.
Balatro music is a banger choice
Man the quality of your videos is always amazing! love them
I love all the photographs shown throughout the video!
What a cool place! Wish I would have known about it when I was there last year.
That 4'33 e-shop joke hit all the right niches for me, 10/10 joke 😂
I had a gameboy micro when I was 3! I had it up until I was about 7, where I lost it.
When I was 21 my dad found it in our old livingroom couch as he was tearing it up to throw away. It still had a charge and still works. I have it still today.
Wow that I wild! Glad you found it! I bet your reaction was priceless
@allyrose6437 I tore up our entire HOUSE looking for that thing when I was a kid. I figured I'd just left it in a cabin after a family trip, but thought I was going crazy because I remembered playing with it when we got back.
I looked for a week. Genuinely every few years I'd think about it up until he found it. I was in a state of shock for at least an hour.
drink a beer and watchin so much nick youtube video on the computer. The ideal
4:08 Actually those “bricks” have been used in Lego sets way before the Mario ones, but the color of them could have came from the Mario sets.
Running into Joeyy was the most random crossover
Hey Nick! Try changing the thumbnail to you beside Mario in the jail cell from super Mario sunshine. It will be far more clickable. This is a fun video that needs to be shared and seen by more people
INCREDIBLE transition at 17:15 👏🙇
you running into joeyy threw me off so hard I was dying laughing looooool
Hopefully Nintendo doesn't sue you for emulating their old office.
😂
having your channel as my homepage for the last 3 months paid off!
A suit of armor provides excellent sun protection on hot days.
The fact that this guy copied Mr. Beast's thumbnail style but this video is surprisingly good and not a April Fools video. Nice difference compared to his previous video about a GameBoy theft
Your videos make ne feel so calm, thanks nick
Vincent van Gogh was alive when Nintendo first started.
unironically gonna start using buyee now that there is a translate option
Perfect content for your channel sir cuz I definitely can’t make it to Kyoto anytime soon but I need to see this. And let me add HOW SMART was this hotel to realize and understand the significance it would have for you specifically instead of inviting any old yter
i wanted some sushi, so i booked a ticket to japan and went all the way over
nick is a champ for including the music used in the description. thank you
the switch eshop music joke gave me a giggle
7:52
I genuinely expected you to say the Virtual Boy.
Wish I'd known about this place before my last Japan trip late last year, would have definitely booked a stay! Looks incredible. Great video✌
Nick goes to Japan every week and still uses Google Translate to translate the signs. It's time you become fluent in Japanese! 😄
New nick Robinson is always amazing
That’s such a crazy fact that Nintendo (now known for being a video game company) is older than RADIO
Very cool, putting that on my Japan travel list! Love the idea of playing bartender with your friends haha. And definitely added that camera to my wishlist ♡
this is definitely a bucket list item for me now.. i’ve wanted to go to japan for years, and now i know that once i finally do get the opportunity to go there that i will have to go here. the completely open bar is amazing. i’m not sure if that would work here in america. it would be trashed within a matter of hours LOL

he's so fuckin funny dude
you should do a "try not to go to japan video"
NICK ROBINSON VIDEO! OOGA BOOGA
"ooga booga" means "get a wound"?!
nick! so glad to see u posting again, missed u man! Honestly I’d love to see more videos of u and Gary saving old Pokémon :)
So glad you had that awesome trip. Thanks for sharing

When worlds collide
It would be really cool to be a kid traveling and be a big fan of Nintendo but just randomly end up in this hotel by chance. It would be a core memory for sure. I can imagine a Studio Ghibli movie based on this hotel.
Thumbnail is hilariously well done, good stuff
fitting using the balatro music. I thought I booted up the game when I heard it lmao
Balatro music fit perfectly ❤
I've really wanted to stay at this hotel one day, so this is actually an extremely useful video! Thanks!
Hmm by the background music, somebody has been playing Balatro
running into joeyy was the last thing i expected lol
It’s like three or $500 a night depending on the season and honestly, for 3 free meals a day and an open self-serve bar, that’s a great value. I would absolutely spend the night or two there if I ever was in Osaka.
nick's smile in the thumbnail is more genuine than mr. beast's
It’s unfair how beautiful Japan is
