I've tried this recipe 4-5 times now and it has become my favorite way of preparing salmon. I can see that people are very divided in the comments section about this recipe but I absolutely loved it. For a Bengali away from India abroad, this light and flavorful curry just takes me back home everytime I make it. Food is subjective and the beauty of it is that we can change and modify any recipe to fit our taste and liking. I also modified it a little to my liking (added some extra spices and tempered them in oil before cooking) and once again, great recipe I must say. 10/10! :)

First like to thank you for such a brief yet to the point description. I took this as a reference but as I'm now abroad and it's difficult for me to cook everyday hence I made the curry little bigger with green and red capsicum and unwillingly added slight potatoes. The preparation of the dish is fairly quick and honestly I like it!

I am so glad that you liked the recipe and loved your idea of adding capsicums and potatoes. We often make fish curry with potatoes and Kadai recipes with capsicums. I will definitely try making this curry with capsicums. Thanks once again :)

@@EyeSpice Thank you for the feedback and your time for stopping by on my channel. Yes, we also noticed that red onions are better for Indian cuisine. @@FoodiesTerminal the fish curry u made is called as Tomato curry with fish. South Indian recipe includes a lot of other spices. Salt is not there in your video (salt smeared salmon). let me know if you need some salt, I can parcel you. There is no Indian in your dish other than the powder, you used a white onion (no flavor), no ginger garlic paste blah blah..!! anyways, this is good for lazy bachelors..!!

Indians don't live in a dish they live in India...Lol!....and again every single fish curry doesn't have to have ginger garlic paste, which world do you live in? OMG! Do you even know that Fish Curry from various regions in India is made differently with different sets of ingredients? That's why my recipe is tagged as "Salmon Curry Indian Recipe" and not tagged as any regional based fish curry from India like Gujrathi Fish curry or Bengali Fish Curry or Punjabi Fish Curry! I think you expected a South Indian version from this curry. White onion....the recipe says you can use whatever onion you want to, the part of the world where I live in has white onion readily available than red onion, I used it...did I mention anywhere that you have to use "white onion" only? Read the full recipe next time before you make it from any blog.
