This video has brought back fond memories, the sound did it all for me, I was only 17 years old, now 58 years, how time has flown to this date. It was my first experience with a power ban, got the bike home and didn't think it was going right, tried to screw it on to fast not having the revs and it just burbled and sounded like it was flooding all the time, till I did it gradually and almost fell off the back with the power, so that's how you ride it. From then on that's all it did, and yes it was hard to keep the front wheel on the ground, after that only two speeds stop and flat out, never missed a beat from daylight to dark, how I miss that time, be great to be young again when you eyes are sharp and speed was not a problem, you don't lose the wont to go fast, but you eyes fail you to pick up the terrain at speeds, time to slow down you don't bounce when your old, enjoy your time as one day you to will get old and remember what once was. the price of the bike back then was $585.00
I can't Believe it I am also 58 and bought my new 1974 TM 125 at he same time you did it was my second year of High School. I think my Dad Paid $650 or $700 for it. he took out a loan at the bank and I Paid him back by Washing Dishes at night at a Diner after School I had it for about 4yrs and sold it to buy a New Kawasaki Ke 250 Paid $875 out the door shortly after that I had a used 1976 Honda Cr 125 lots of Fun and Great Memories still love that 2cycle smell
I had one of these, bought it from a mechanic when i was 13 for $100, didn’t run, was the baby blue color, got it running(like crap) but i loved it for the few days it ran. Then upgraded to a Honda big red 200 atc. Loved 3 wheelers more than 2 or 4 wheels since then.

It came down to color ,, TM had CCI , I found the TM to have a bit more bottom end , either or for me
