Ive played with him on his perma banned a few times every season for 3 seasons straight, he always had to listen to blame starting pre game and only way to shut them up is by stomping. I dont blame him for getting banned going through that every second game. Very calm and creative player, glad he found succes with it again.
I swear I can't stand how Riot deals with this. I had the same restrictions, just 1 chat restriction though. Because I argued back to flamers. I argued a full time with them aswell and even if they agree I'm not at fault, they just do not want people to spend their game on chatting basically. I did ask them if they chat restricted the ones I argued with as some not only flamed but insulted, but couldn't get any answer due to privacy. Yikes.

Sooooooo many master players derank after hitting it, especially with weird picks they just want to prove they can hit it then most stop playing/try new builds etc. Happened to Kog adc, Sej mid, Lillia top(who only came back to ranked for the video). + with a strat like jhin top you do have some bad matchups that will be like 10/90 - so the fact he can remain near high elo is crazy
I get anxious picking Jhin despite how much I love him because I'm still learning the ropes of playing damage dealers as a support main who mostly has only ARAM experience... but stories like this really inspire me. This is the type of dedication I want to have for Jhin! Now to just... stop being anxious to queue Summoner's Rift norms so I can practice... haha.

I’m only plat so I’m not that good but I got 1.5m mastery on jhin and have played him a ton in the mid lane. Yeah irelia dumpsters jhin. But there are ways to win. If I can get ahead early I can snowball. I always start boots on jhin lvl1 against melee champs and you can really auto-space and bully irelia. Since you bought boots you can first buy ninja-tabis too if your just trying to live. Take exhaust too for when irelia all ins, I still die if I don’t have flash though. Let irelia dive me and hit a sick w flash under turret. And beg my jungler for ganks. But yeah a good irelia will dumpster jhin if they just wait till lvl 6.
ive seen a 1.6million jhin mid. who does this by placing 3 traps and he stands on them when the wave is pushing. the irelia that all in him was quite surprised to see the damage of the traps kekw.
I love play jhin top, the champ is really good and solid mechanics, is so funny and feels really good if you have a good game with it, the bad points are just that you play bad or permacamp, is nice see somebody is high elo with it
The best thing I did since I started playing this game was the decision to mute all at the start of every game. I leave the ping on until they become annoying and if they do I mute them as well. Easy game to play from that point, doesn't really matter win or lose just that I gave my best.
From a jhin adc main perspective, you are generally more interested in swiftness boots giving you faster positioning and better kite than damage like berzerker’s greaves. The thing is, you need a lot of time as jhin to put out all your autos on the enemy in a fight, so it’s more important to be able to dodge things between shots rather than hitting harder. At least that’s why I don’t buy them, but as jhin top you might get more solo xp and gold to be able to “greed” for this damage boost.

I agree with the whole "its your fault for picking off meta" Whenever I pick off meta champ and despite my performance, I'll have a 0-6 player blaming me for us losing because I didn't pick a meta champ. Like no dude, I could've played the highest win rate champ and you'd still be 0-6, my pick had nothing to do with your poor performance.
We really need a bunch of off-meta pick players on one team for a few matches, would be really cool to see how they synergize with other off meta players

The poking Down technique is very useful i have only played 20 games but i average 10-15 kills which is eh but late game Jihn is very op i just max out my crit chance with 2 mythic items.
I once had a game where we had a Jhin top. My team didn’t dodge but they called him out for trolling once we got in the game. He ended up hard carrying our team and our Diana who was flaming him the most for the Jhin top pick ended up apologizing.
I looked this up because just played against this yesterday I HATE IT. As a tank/juggernaut player, ranged tops that don't belong here are the bane of my existence, worse I have an extra bias against any Marksman thanks to Vayne and Quinn PTSD This is one of the most difficult things I think I've EVER played against as a melee top laner. At no point could I touch him His pushing power is NUTS, and his gank defense is surprisingly powerful. My own jungler fed him 2 free kills because he underestimated Jhin and his trap damage Mid-Late game he was basically a ranged assassin, but damn near unkillable thanks to his kiting power and surprising tankiness, guy bought freaking randuins to counter our fed Qiyana and made it even harder to freakin kill him
Berserkers are actually a very good boot choice for Crit Jhin. They give far more movespeed when you Crit than Swifties, and they give extra AD from the attack speed. Only reason I might go swifties over them is if I'm against a comp with a lot of slows.
i actually had a teemo troll who went bot lane and i had to go top lane playing jhin building only lethality(eclipse and ghostblade) and it worked somehow lol

I had a 0/7 Yone mid flaming me because I picked Ezreal top and got permanently camped, still coming out with a decent KDA. People just blame off-meta picks no matter what.
I mean, I do something similar to this as well. I go Jhin mid with Ghost and Flash, Dark Harvest and just go Galeforce. Easy build and works very well.
i think a good champion to counter jhin top is rumble (i have like +1 M mp with him), why? well, rumble is bad against ad ranged champions, but in this playstyle where you need (as jhin) to push and get prio, rumble can outpush you with Q and with a electrocute build and his w move speed and shield can dodge your abilities and bait the fourth shot. Plus at 6, rumble always wins if jhin ults coz equalizer forces you to flash if you're standing still (or suffer like 700 dmg at lvl 6) pd: rumble e can help to kite out jhin and melt him fast with the mr shred, and at lvl 5 you can kill jhin pretty fast with 100% heat

I remember when Akali shroud kept towers from seeing her. Playing jhin top and being killed under my tower by akali was one of the most helpless feelings ive ever had in this game.
I feel this man, it's really hard being an off meta player cos no matter what happens in the game, if your team lose is always your fault. A few days ago I was playing AP Nasus mid (aka Susan) and I was 3/1 against a a 2/5 Ryze. I was doing my job, trying to help my team and everything, until we lost a teamfight at dragon an my 0/11 bot lane starts flamming me and pinging my items... the biggest diff of the game was bot and top that our team lost pretty badly, bot our feeding bot really belived that all the fault was mine. Well at least I'm used to it cos I play off meta for almost ten years now, but still this day I got impress for the lack of self awarness of some players in league.
Not sure how well this would work for jhin top but, if you have an APC bot since your playing an ADC top lane hover other adcs before you lock in and tell your bot lane to hover top laners bruisers/mages so they will think it's a mage top and take MR, I play ekko/leesin/viego mid all of which are almost always played jungle so I will always hover junglers before I lock in and sometimes it will throw them off so, they don't think to counter pick me mid/potentially take MR runes when im playing leesin/viego

I mean, I do something similar to this as well. I go Jhin mid with Ghost and Flash, Dark Harvest and just go Galeforce. Easy build and works very well.
i think a good champion to counter jhin top is rumble (i have like +1 M mp with him), why? well, rumble is bad against ad ranged champions, but in this playstyle where you need (as jhin) to push and get prio, rumble can outpush you with Q and with a electrocute build and his w move speed and shield can dodge your abilities and bait the fourth shot. Plus at 6, rumble always wins if jhin ults coz equalizer forces you to flash if you're standing still (or suffer like 700 dmg at lvl 6)
pd: rumble e can help to kite out jhin and melt him fast with the mr shred, and at lvl 5 you can kill jhin pretty fast with 100% heat

I feel this man, it's really hard being an off meta player cos no matter what happens in the game, if your team lose is always your fault. A few days ago I was playing AP Nasus mid (aka Susan) and I was 3/1 against a a 2/5 Ryze. I was doing my job, trying to help my team and everything, until we lost a teamfight at dragon an my 0/11 bot lane starts flamming me and pinging my items... the biggest diff of the game was bot and top that our team lost pretty badly, bot our feeding bot really belived that all the fault was mine. Well at least I'm used to it cos I play off meta for almost ten years now, but still this day I got impress for the lack of self awarness of some players in league.

Not sure how well this would work for jhin top but, if you have an APC bot since your playing an ADC top lane hover other adcs before you lock in and tell your bot lane to hover top laners bruisers/mages so they will think it's a mage top and take MR, I play ekko/leesin/viego mid all of which are almost always played jungle so I will always hover junglers before I lock in and sometimes it will throw them off so, they don't think to counter pick me mid/potentially take MR runes when im playing leesin/viego
